Free Music Notes for Take This to Your GraveFree Music Review: Def. better than their newer cd Hit: 5 Stars
I heard one song of this cd at least a year ago and began to love Fall Out Boy. I listened to it for months non-stop and I'm still not sick of their songs. I love every one of the songs on here and this album is, in my opinion, better than "From Under The Cork Tree". Their most popular song is probably "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy". It's really too hard to pick the best ones but some of my favorites are: "Tell That Mick He Just Made My List of Things To Do Today", "GTA/WIYB", "Saturday", "Chicago Is So Two Years Ago", and "Grenade Jumper". I saw them in concert and they put on a great show. The music wasn't too great, but they were very entertaining. If you are choosing between "From Under the Cork Tree" and this album, definately get this one (at least first and then get the other one).
Free Music Review: Fall Out Boy is saving Pop-Punk Hit: 5 Stars
Fall Out Boy's Take This to Your Grave is the CD that could turn anyone into a fan of pop-punk. Their ability to reach a point in their music to be considered definitive pop-punk while managing to avoid the numerous cliches that accompany the term is admirable. Their lyrics, although slightly sadistic, truly single FOB out from the crowd; I mean, who else could come up with something as clever as "Stop burning bridges, and drive off of them?"People say that pop-punk is on the decline and that hardcore is on its way up...well I believe that once enough people hear more about Fall Out Boy, then the genre will be redefined around this remarkable band. Buy this CD. There is no disc in my collection that remains as consistently untouchable as "Take This to Your Grave" does.
Free Music Review: OMG this cd is my life Hit: 5 Stars
In my whole life of 15 precious years i have never even come close to a CD that has more meaning than take this to your grave. FOB is the best punk/pop band to ever be created. The lead singer voice has the most unique voice and he can really sing unlike most of the annoying singers of this new punk sensation. The words are so meaningful really well written. Its a really good cd to have fun to because the music is so emotional that it overcomes you. The words are so hard once you learn them its so great. Some of their songs kinda remind me of gospel but they dont sing about god. Every song on the CD is catchy but "the patron saint of liars and fakes" and "Chicago is so two years ago" are by far the best songs. Seriously get this CD its so amazing i swear you won't regret it.
Free Music Review: Grrreat album Hit: 5 Stars
this has to be my faveourite fall out boy album. i have listened to fall out boy for 2 or 3 years now and their new stuff just dosnt compete with this, this is full of agression and soul, iv had this album for ages and still i love it, im still to get bored of it, there are obviously filler tracks ("homesick at space camp") which are not upto par compared to some of the other songs, but still very very good and very enjoyable. most of the tracks though are just superb. this album would have to be one of my faveourite cds of all time. no questions asked, however i couldnt say that f.o.b are my faveourite band due to the fact that most of their new stuff is nowhere near as good as this is, if you want to get into fall out boy listen to this before you make your mind up, you will fall in love.
Free Music Review: Fall Out Boy: awesome lyrics, amazing voice, great album Hit: 5 Stars
Take This to Your Grave is one of the best CD's I own. The songs are catchy, but in a way that doesn't make you feel tired of hearing the song. I can listen to the whole album all the way through w/out getting bored. Patrick Strump's (lead singer) voice is amazing, he can really sing and his voice never sounds strained or whiny which can sometimes happen with punk/emo music. The drummer, Andy Hurly, is awesome and he makes every song come together. I highly recommend this CD to anyone looking for great music thats doesn't hurt the ears and is fun to listen to. Check out these tracks: grand theft autumn, dead on arrival, homesick at space camp, chicago is so 2 years ago, calm b4 the storm, and the patron saint of liars and fakes... well you should just buy the whole CD, you won't regret it.
