Free Music Notes for The ReminderFree Music Review: I like it! Hit: 5 Stars
I learned about Feist when I saw her CD in a Starbucks store. I checked it out online when I got home so I could hear the samples, and decided that I wanted to buy it. I'm glad I did! I've bought other CD's based on the samples that ended up being so-so, and not as good as I'd hoped. This one was BETTER than I'd expected.
It's mellow, with a distinctive sound. Feist's voice is unique and blends well with the music. There's a nice mix of emotions in the songs, and everything flows together. I definitely recommend it!
Free Music Review: a tour de force. It will grab you! Hit: 5 Stars
Feist's voice is a terrific instrument, with cool jazz singer style, and the melodies she sings are captivating. To top it off, the arrangements and production are lean enough for you to enjoy her voice, and quirky enough (banjos, anyone?) to be really interesting. Even better -- the lyrics are poignant.
I admit that I felt silly about getting an album because I liked the ditty from the Nano commercial, but I've been absolutely delighted with the album. And I still love "One two three four".
Free Music Review: I've been listening to Leslie Feist for 3 years Hit: 5 Stars
Feist does it all - acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano and for an original punk rocker she sure sings a sweet ballad. When I listen to her sing I forget all my troubles and fade into happyland, her voice is like a drug. When you watch her play guitar you'll go holy cow - She jams too! Hands down my favorite album & artist of the year. You must check her out on youtube and see her videos & watch her live performances, she is very unique. My wife & I saw her in concert...it was well worth the trip.
Free Music Review: I think it's an awesome album Hit: 5 Stars
I am one of those people who got sucked into listening to Feist by 1234. Then I listened to the rest of the album. My favorite song is now "I feel it all". It has this melancholy quality about it, both beautiful and a little sad. Now, I'm not the sort to usually like melancholy type songs. For example, I don't like Iron & Wine or Snow Patrol because most of their stuff is just so morose! Anyway, there's not a song on this album that I don't like. I really, really like this album a lot.
Free Music Review: The best CD of 2007 so far Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is simply amazing. Just when you thought there was nothing new under the sun comes something like this: sexy, funny, rocking, off-beat. While there are many moods represented here -- all showcasing Feist's remarkable voice -- I love "My Moon My Man" and "Past in Present" the most. If you like old Liz Phair, Bjork, or Nina Simone, you will love this. The music is constantly surprising and always wonderful. She is -- like all the greatest ones -- a true original.
