Free Music Review: Shut 5 Stars

First off i want to say that this is a really, really good album! It is like nothing i have heard in a while and Fergie did an extremely good job with this one. Which is shocking concidering the fact that i really didn't expect it to be good! But then Fergie came along and really proved me wrong! I like everyone else was expecting Beyonce and Justin Timberlake to be the ones who blew me away, but that sure didn't happen! And im sure everyone is with me on that one. I think that this album is really diverse and different. And i really appreciate the fact that Fergie decided to experiment with different kinds of sounds and moods. My favorite tracks on the album are the opening track "Fergalicious", "Here I Come" and "Clumsy" just to name a few.... I also honesty think that people really need to back off! You need to learn to shut your mouths and just take Fergie's music for what it is; Fun, Bubbly, Silly music that dosn't take itself to seriously. And i feel like people shouldn't be talking about the fact that this album is to diverse because im sure that if she would have done an album that sounded the same then people would complain about how the material is all similar! So please people learn to just chill and appreciate music that is good and fun.

Free Music Review: Best Choice Ever!
Hit: 5 Stars

Fergie going solo was the best choice ever because we all know she is sexy and she made the BEP's hott! This album amazes me and still continues to amaze me. I am a big Fergie fan I guess you could say. The songs on this album are very well written and I don't think a single song is bad, when I heard "London Bridge" I went crazy! It's so awsome I had to get the CD! Although the song is exceptionally dirty words it's still hott. This album is off the chain and Fergie is totally not a slut as the cover kind of screams. But I like the cover!

Here Are MY Track Ratings:
1. Fergalicious (Featuring Will.I.Am)9.5/10
2. Clumsy 10/10
3. All That I Got (The Make Up Song) Featuring Will.I.Am 9.5/10
4. London Bridge 10/10
5. Pedestal 9/10
6. Voodoo Doll 9/10
7. Glamorous (Featuring Ludacris)10/10
8. Here I Come 9.5/10
9. Velvet 9/10
10. Big Girls Don't Cry 9.5/10
11. Mary Jane Shoes (Featuring Rita Marley & The I-Three'S) 10/10
12. Losing My Ground 10/10
13. Finally 9/10

Free Music Review: The Whole World Seems A Little Bit Bright
Hit: 5 Stars

Fergie gets it.

In The Dutchess, Fergie shows what an understanding of the music really means. In the variety presented in the 13 tracks (14 actually, don't let the dead air after the last track fool you in pushing the eject button), she sings from her heart and lets the music capture your soul, oftentimes in a Motown kind of way.

Fergie and will.i.am give more than a passing nod to J.J. Fad, Salt-N-Peppa, Kraftwerk and Afro-Rican on Fergalicious. It brings the listener back to a time when sampling actually mattered in creating a new song.

The reggae sound of Mary Jane Shoes - with the help of Rita Marley - gives way to the fast-pace romp of ska. Truly, this "music has another dimension."

The ballad Finally demonstrates the style Fergie can bring to interpreting lyrics in an old-school kind of way.

You've got it all wrong if you dismiss the CD as a platform for Fergie to cash in on her work with the Black Eyed Peas. There is substance to her style and it is one of the best releases of 2006.

Free Music Review: You Guys Is Crazy
Hit: 5 Stars

How this could get anything below 5 Stars is ridiculous to me. If you go to Amazon.co.uk (a country with actual non-bias, good taste in music) the album has 4.5 stars out of 5. Such a shame Americans are so against pop music, because this album is absolutely fantastic. Every single song is a work of art. And it only adds to the amazingness that Stacy co-wrote all the songs herself.

The album works as a whole, with many different influences from reggae (Pedestal), to chillout (Velvet), to techno (Fergilicious), to jazz (Voodoo Doll), to club classics (London Bridge), to more acoustic songs (Losing My Ground), to big piano ballads (Finally).

Usually I hate albums that have all types of different genre-influenced songs (Britney's Circus, Kylie's X) but this is so well done that I have nothing negative to say.

The creativity on this album is just out of this world. All these crazy funky samples against new age beats and bleeps. So freakin cool. I can't wait for her second album!
