Free Music Notes for Everything Will Never Be OK

Free Music Review: Melodic, raw, intelligent, clever, and cool
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm 41: older than an X-er & well past collegiate-suicide-pact cynicism, and, I thought, fairly safely beyond the allure of that oh-so-special brand of 20s disaffection. Not a bit. Much of the subject matter of the songs on "Everything Will Never Be OK" revolves around growing up hip to the bleaker sides of life. But this edgy, supremely musical album pulls me in. Joe Sumner's got a lush, pliable, interesting voice & he and his bandmates have put together some rhythmically driven songs of complaint & disenchantment that display talent, wit, and charm. "Cigarette" reminds me of Joni Mitchell's "The Windfall (Everything for Nothing)" & offers up a sympathy-inducing take on Sumner's predicament. I hope these guys keep working together for a long time to come.

Free Music Review: Fiction Plane makes a stellar debut
Hit: 5 Stars

I try to be open to all genres of music, but I'm mostly into punk. Two weeks ago, I went to the Something Corporate & Juliana Theory show. I normally don't even make it to see the opening acts, but this time I decided to and I'm glad I did. At this concert is where I discovered the rocking new band, Fiction Plane. They've got that Brit pop/rock sound, but I really like it. They sound like a combination of Blur and Radiohead. They have great voices and sound really original (which is so rare now-a-days). I am impressed with the whole cd...so much so that I can't even pick a favorite. But "Everything will never be o.k." is my new favorite CD. Check 'em out.

Free Music Review: Fiction Plane deserves 100 Stars. They totally rock!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was chillin in my car the other day when I heard this new song on the radio The lead singer (with an incredible voice) was singing exactly what I was feeling. The song's called `Everything Will Never Be Okay,' and it's out of this world. When I found out that I was listening to Fiction Plane, I immediately ordered the album. Good stuff! Some remnants of the 80s in their songs (4 those 80's fans), but somehow Fiction Plane still has a really new sound. Definitely enjoying my album. I also heard that Fiction Plane will be touring with Lifehouse soon. I heard that Fiction plane is awesome live. `Everything Will Never Be Okay' is filled to the brim with great tracks.

Free Music Review: Fiction Plane will be the next kings of rock
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm a little late, but I just discovered that Fiction Plane is an awesome band. Every single song on this album is incredible. If I absolutely had to pick a favorite song, I'd pick "Listen to my babe"...but that is only the first song on the album. Every other song after that one rocks too!!! The thing that is so fantastic about Fiction Plane is that they are extremely diverse. Most rock bands fit in one category, but Fiction Plane can go from one type of music to another with ease. If I had to categorize them, they'd probably be a cross between Brit rock and punk rock. They've got a fresh sound and I hope their coming to my town soon, so I can see them live.

Free Music Review: Forget about "great debut" - it's a great album!
Hit: 5 Stars

The more I listen to it, the more I like it - and I can't stop listening to it.....!! A superb variety of songs, all edgy with attitude but none overdone. Many have echoes of other bands/sounds (from the obvious comparison to U2) but all are individualistic and stand up in their own right. I'm struggling to pick a favourite as most of the songs are different to each other and therefore each could be a favourite in its own category. Am looking forward to seeing them playing live in the UK when they've finished taking over the US. Meanwhile, buy this album, tell all your mates about it, and get them to buy it too...!!
