Free Music Notes for Them VS. You VS. MeFree Music Review: Finger Eleven Arouses Energy Through New Album Hit: 5 Stars"Paralyzer" exemplifies the affect Finger Eleven provokes - it paralyzes the body, mind and soul. Their previous album introduced this rock band into our world of alternative rock yet with a twist of pop. "Them vs. You vs. Me" however establishes the fact that Finger Eleven has left an earthquake in the music industry. The opening single "Paralyzer" is a fanfare of sexiness and illusion into lust. Lyrics in "I'll Keep Your Memory Vague" describe anyone's hope to forget about heartbreak who has experienced tremendous failure in love. The clear cut instrumentation is powerful in "Falling On" and "Lost My Way". "So-So-Suicide" is a pure testimonial of alternative rock while the "Window Song" floats through the mind to arouse thoughts of chances missed. Finger Eleven provides two renditions of "Change the World" that are portrayals of love beautifully rectified acoustically as well.
Every hit on Finger Eleven's album represents a taste of fresh rock, lyrics any woman would swoon over, and instrumental fanfares that echo in your mind for weeks on end after just one listening. Take a chance...listen to Finger Eleven's creation...and become paralyzed...
Free Music Review: Them vs You vs Me: How rock was meant to be Hit: 4 StarsWhat can I say about Finger Eleven's album Them vs. You vs. Me that could capture what it is I want to say? Well, let's go with this; their sound and style is so different and refreshing from all of the "pop rock" sounds of today's mainstream. These guys do it "old-school" and rely on their talent and musical vision and not on pretty faces (although they aren't too hard on the eyes) to pull in their fan base. Also, Them vs. You vs. Me has some great variety in sounds making it impossible to get bored from song to song. There's one for any mood you're in, whether calm and contemplative or energetic and impassioned.
At the very least, it's a CD that you could sing to while cruising down that road or highway with the volume cranked up. Think Jerry Maguire and Tom Petty's Free Fallin'.
