Free Music Notes for OdysseyFree Music Review: impressive electronica album from Fischerspooner Hit: 4 Stars
I love Fischerspooner! Their music is in one word - revolutionary. "Odyssey" is an in depth venture into the brilliant sounds and synths of the future. The most standout tracks are: "Just Let Go", "Cloud", "Never Win", "A Kick in the Teeth", "We Need a War" and "Happy". Just a bit of warning: if you can't digest a heavy dose of electronic music, this CD is not for you! Although there are moments when this album intersects with certain aspects of pop music, as in "Never Win" and "A Kick in the Teeth", this CD is not too pop friendly. Despite this little detail though, you should still be impressed by "Odyssey"....Listen and Enjoy!
Free Music Review: One of my favorites this year Hit: 4 Stars
I didn't care for Fischerspooner's first album. This one in comparison, in my opinion, is much much better. The sound is more polished. It's more electro-pop which seems to work better for them. The songs are memorable and have melodies. Some favorites include "Cloud," "Never Win," "A Kick In the Teeth," "We Need a War," and "Happy". The reviewer who compared them to Postal Service is spot on, which is another great cd worth checking out. I was pleasantly surprised by this one and it gets a lot of play in my cd player. Check it out!
Free Music Review: A great follow-up to #1 Hit: 4 Stars
This is a solid record. Wasn't sure if Fischerspooner would be able to swing it, but they have. Odyssey is infinitely more tuneful, the songs and the melodies are stronger than on the first album. Hence, feels a bit more organic. It is very textured, moody, rocky, dance fun. Go for it!
Free Music Review: Great electronica album Hit: 4 Stars
This record by FS is more organic... less Kraftwerk and more AIR.

Free Music Review: new wave meets synthpop Hit: 4 Stars
Nice album--and better than the previous "#1". This should appeal if you like electronica, modern rock, new wave, and synthpop 'cause it's like putting those in a blender... and voila.
