By rock standards, five for fighting are musical and vocal geniuses, playing songs and written lyrics with titanic perversity.But, vocalist John Ondrasik, Gregg Wattenberg, Dorian Crozier,and Sheldon Gomberg are quite serious about their sedition. I find their music to be both uplifting and motivating on The Battle For Everything."If God made you" is a wonderful and touching song. My favorite on the album is "Dying". It is written with poise and dignity. This album has an array of different musical styles. Any preference to music you have, you will find it on "Battle". With this release, FIVE FOR FIGHTING sound as a band on the verge of becoming a major musical force in "Pop/rock". The lyrical content and track subject available on this CD are both interresting and refreshing. Musical arangements remain pure and to the point. Should SONY opt to fully promote this CD to a mass market, they may be pleasently surprised to discover they have signed this year's anserw to COLDPLAY. This CD should seriously be added to the collection of your music library. I try to keep up on modern music, not wishing to be left behind by it, like my father was. Well, when I first heard Five For Fighting's Superman song, I knew that here was something hot. Five For Fighting is stage name for John Ondrasik, a fine musician and an even better singer.
Overall, I thought that this was a great album. I loved 100 Years (as did the rest of the Rock-listening world!), but also If God Made You, Dying and Angels & Girlfriends. It's got a great sound, a mix of the upbeat and the soulful, and is something that I can enjoy listening to with my kids. We highly recommend this great album!

I think that the new album The Battle For Everything is an amazing CD. Five For Fighting's last CD, America Town was amazing and I haven't stopped listening to those songs day after day. This new one just adds to my collection and I have started listening to these new songs all the time. I would easily give this CD 5 stars because there is no more then one song on this CD that I don't enjoy. 100 Years is my favourite and every other song by Five For Fighting ties in second. Five For Fighting is an amazing artist and this new CD, The Battle For Everything, is also amazing!Free Music Review: Music from the heart, words from a soul....

This CD has the most beautiful music accompanied by words that evoke feelings of joy, pain, beauty, and love. Listening to this CD from FFF is a trip inside your own head. The song A Hundred Years is my favorite. You really do have only so much time on this earth, what are you going to do with it? This CD is filled with lyrics that memic life. The piano playing is as fine as it gets, throw in some harmonica, guitar and a drum, mix in beautiful voices...you have a masterpiece, you have A Battle For Everything....You have this CD. Dont let this one get away.
