I can't get enough of the "100 years" song. I bought this 5 days ago and have personally listened to the 100 years song 50 times. I heard it on last weeks episode of Smallville and fell in love with it. It's the kind of song you can just let repeat and it will (hopefully) never get tired. As for the rest of the album, I agree with others that "yes, it is like poetry." An excellent sophmore follow up to their debut album. Would definitly recommend! A++Free Music Review: Another Hit

The first time I played The Battle for Everything I wasn't sure if I would like it. Because of the first CD and also due to the fact I have seen FFF in concert several times around town over the past couple years I gave it a chance. To get used to it, I played it non stop to and from work and never took it out of my cd player. Now I play it non stop and never take it out of my cd player because I LOVE IT. I'm hooked. When I heard the song "100 Years" was when I actually got into Five for Fighting...yeah I've heard "Superman" but "100 Years" was the one that really got my attention. I bought the CD because of that song mainly and after listening to the other songs on FFF's website. Like other reviewers said, the lyrics are so meaningful you gotta listen to them. John's a great piano player and makes beautiful music. 5 stars!Free Music Review: The Best Yet! Buy this one!

I liked him before, but after this album I LOVE him! Song writing at it's finest, great sound, divirsity. Personal favorites are One More For Love, Maybe I, Dying, 100 Years, If God Made You and my favorite, Nobody, which sums up life with the lines "But I know as we go round and round, Though endings are never ever happy, It's the happy moments along the way, That in the end, Make it....ok" Fantastic. I will admit I do not own any of Five for Fighting's other albums, so I won't compare this album to previous ones.That's not what you want to know. You want to know if this is a good CD.
It is amazing. Excellent. Each song is awesome both in its music and its lyrics. And they build on each other. The theme or message of each song is revisited in the last song, Nobody, and the lyrics strike right to your heart.
