Rumours is considered by many to be a classic, and for good reason. Although Rumours climaxed Fleetwood Mac's popularity in the later 1970's, it was also produced at the emotional bottom for many of the band members. With the marriage breakup of John and Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks ended relationship and more woes for Mick Fleetwood, Rumours ideally reflects their hardships during these times. With each song depicting the turmoil and impending hopes of the band, one can only listen to Rumours and feel uplifted in their own way. It is no wonder that today, many songs off Rumours, including hits like "Dreams" and "Go Your Own Way", down to never released singles such as "The Chain" and "Landslide", is heard all the time on radio, not to mention re-makes.
