Free Music Review: Mac Magic !!!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Ok, I will admit that I miss Christine's sonic pop vocals and radio friendly songs weaved into the Mac mix but there is absolutely no denying that this is a awesome record without her. Fleetwood Mac is a rarity in the music world and each member brings something different into the fold that is magical...whether it's Stevie's haunting vocals and valentine lyrics (the songs here are the best she has done in years) or Lindsey's underated genious studio wizardry and brilliant (if not spellbounding) guitar playing.
Way to often, there is never enough mention of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie's invaluble contibution's to the Mac sound....and one doesn't have to listen closely for the distinctive drums and bass that complete's thier counter parts.
Nearly every song on this disc is infectious! Highlight's are songs like THROWN DOWN ( having heard the original demo....this version comes alive!) and SAY YOU WILL that is bound to change the music climate on the airwaves...PEACEKEEPER gives off the feel of one of those late night summer drives with the top down getting lost in the vocals...but the song is a clear message fitting in these strange times ( still think he's referring to the missle)...as you near the end of the CD it just keeps getting better with Lindsey's beautiful STEAL YOUR HEART AWAY and my personal favorite BLEED TO LOVE HER to Steve's pop rock fusion's of RUNNING THROUGH THE GARDEN and the absolute gems EVERYBODY FINDS OUT (crank this up every time!)and DESTINY RULES (it don't get much better than this!!!) But, saving the best for last, there is no better closers than Lindsey's dreamy SAY GOODBYE (gives me chill bump's to here those two whisper through this song)and Stevie's tearful, GOODBYE BABY. Make's you sometimes wonder who they are actually singing to? The drama continues and god bless you guys for it!!!!

Free Music Review: Buckingham's a genuis
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to say I wasn't overly optimistic about this release, but am ecstatic to be proven wrong. Musicians will love this record as it has all the bases covered great musicianship, great songs, great variety, catchy, below-the-radar twists .Mick and John are superb and the epitomy of the perfect rhythm section.

There are at least 10 great songs here, that get better with every listen. The best song is "'Destiny Rules" . Stevie and Lindsey combine to make this a CLASSIC.Great guitar playing , outstanding lyrics and the "x" factor.

Buckingham is truly at his creative peak on this record, so much so I wonder if he's gone over the edge of sanity. His compositions are all great here from "Murrow" to "Red Rover" to the over-the-top but brilliant "Come" This is like the Beatles meets punk meets something else.. ? What a song. "Miranda" is a bit of a throwback song with great layers and exceptional slide guitar.
"Peacekeeper" is just a classic song with Stevie doing some hair-raising harmonies. "Steal your heart away" is a great pop-folk-country song with superb production."Everybody finds out" is the second best Nick's song with an upbeat, but heavy dance feel."Say goodbye" is heart wrenching and beatiful. Some of the other Nick's songs haven't really grown on me yet , but even if they don't this one is a classic ! Time will tell , but I predict a grammy and "classic" staus once people buy it and give it a few spins.

The only complaint is they could have made a 10 song record and have surpassed "Rumours", but the 10 great songs are there.Based on other reviews here many of the songs I don't care for are other's favorites ...This record will make you feel , which is what art is all about . Two words .. Get it...

Free Music Review: Incredible Masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

Now I am a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, but the good thing about that is I'm such a huge fan that I can still be critical of their music...FORTUNATELY there is absolutely nothing to criticize here..This album is incredible.
Many classic rock groups put out mediocre and mundane albums years after their huge successes, but this album lacks no passion at all.
At first I thought that I might miss the presence of Christine McVie (who has retired from the group now) but Stevie and Lindsey put 150% effort into making these songs sound incredible regardles..
Stevie's voice is stronger here than it has been in many many years. She rocks out in the awesome tunes "Running Through the Garden," and "Everybody Finds Out." Her ode to those lost and how it affected her in Sept 11 touches the soul deep down in "Illume." Illume is a hard song to understand, but for those fans who read her journal entries she posted on her website (nicksfix.com) near the days of the attacks, it makes perfect sense.
Lindsey Buckingham shines immensely here, with his production skills and also skills as a musician and singer/songwriter. Highlight Lindsey tracks for me were "Murrow," "What's the World Coming To," the hard heavy rock "Come," and "Bleed to Love Her."
The album ends with sweet goodbyes, with Lindsey's "Say Goodbye," closing with Stevie's haunting "Goodbye Baby."
The old time Fleetwood Mac lovers will love the album, and it also is bound to attract a new following with this new fresh sound...they have a great ability to keep their classic sound while also mixing fresh new things at the same time.

Free Music Review: Worth the Wait
Hit: 5 Stars

I was a bit ambivalent about 'Say You Will' the first time I heard it. "Murrow Turning Over In His Grave" seemed too odd, especially as the second track on the lineup. And by the time I finished the album, a lot of the songs left me cold. Yes, I was disappointed, but then I realized just how long it had been since I really listened to a Fleetwood Mac album. I figured it was time to re-aquaint myself with the band, so I put 'Say You Will' to the side and dug up copies of 'Mirage,' 'Tusk,' Lindsey's 'Go Insane,' and Stevie's 'Rock A Little.' After getting into to those four albums again and remembering just why I was such a fan of their music (both Mac and solo), I gave 'Say You Will' another spin. And it felt very good.

There is a LOT of material on this album, most of which demands repeated listenings to be fully appreciated. Still, if you count the years since 'Tango In The Night,' it's rather generous of them to deliver 18 new tracks (20 if you buy the bonus edition). Some tracks ("Say You Will," "Thrown Down," "What's The World Coming To") sound like classic Fleetwood Mac, while others ("Red Rover," "Running Through the Garden"), feel more like they belong on solo albums.

The main appeal of 'Say You Will' for me is hearing Lindsey and Stevie singing together on almost every song. Stevie's presence adds a unique dimension to Lindsey's "Miranda" and "Peacekeeper." Likewise, Lindsey's appearance on Stevie's "Smile At You" and "Everybody Finds Out," takes those tracks to a whole new level.

Give 'Say You Will' a chance. I almost liken it to a buffet with a lot of food... you have to keep going back to appreciate everything.

Free Music Review: Oh, you bet I will!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to laugh at the so-called Fleetwood Mac "fans" that are disappointed in, or altogether, dismiss "Say You Will." Laughable, because they are claiming to be something they aren't. This is the most consistent "Fleetwood Mac" sounding album they have done since "Rumours" and "Tusk". The fact that these cynics don't hear this is proof enough for me that they are "Fleetwood Mac" illiterate. Don't be swayed. This is classic Fleetwood Mac, except that they are better at their craft---songwriting, vocal performance, production, and playing---than ever! This is the Fleetwood Mac that should have been. I adored Christine Mcvie, but she wasn't the catalyst of the band, although some of their best songs were hers. But without her, the band flourishes more with it's two star singer-songwriters, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. The band was ALWAYS about them, and Christine's absence has given them the spotlight they should have had long ago. What an opportunity! Stevie's best song here is "Illume 9-11". It is one of the MOST powerful, heavy songs she has EVER done. Don't let above reviews disuade you on this one---It is classic Stevie Nicks. There is not a dud on this opus. The craft here is sterling. I am just simply blown away by "Say You Will", and urge you to take a listen. Disappointment??? Psshhhhhhh. I don't know what cd the above "reviewers" were listening to, but they obviously were not listening to this. Some people just can't be pleased, no matter what you do. You will be! Any intelligent person will be!
