Free Music Review: Say You Will....I Will, I Will !!!
Hit: 5 Stars

After listening to this album I realized I had just been given one of the greatest gifts. Each song is a special package in itself with Lindsey Buckingham at his best and Stevie Nicks continuing to provide us with unbelievable lyrical prose. When you pair the talent of these two you get something with more depth and more substance than anything we are hearing today. Buckingham's "Murrow..." speaks of today's media control. Nicks' "Illume" speaks of the horrow of Sept. 11th. After addressing the issues of our country they address the issues that have loomed over their personal and professional relationship with such songs as "Goodbye Baby" and "Say Goodbye". Buckingham continues to show his worth as his guitar screams out though songs such as "Come", "Miranda" and "Red Rover" while Nicks calls to us with her luring voice through songs such as "Smile At You", "Thrown Down" and "Destiny Rules" she continues to rock through "Running Through the Garden" and "Everybody Finds Out"; the latter being one of her best in years. When you take these songs and add that secure and strong rhythmic base from Fleetwood and McVie you have a complete package and some wonderful music that you will want to share with everyone you come into contact with. So, "Say You Will, Say You Will.." !!!

Free Music Review: WOW!
Hit: 5 Stars

The lyrical brilliance is amazing. The whole cd is fantastic although I do agree with some of the reviewers that Buckingham is a person who experiments (part of the charm as he always HAS experimented) However nothing can compare to the sheer BRILLIANCE of Stevie Nicks. She sounds absolutely amazing and is a true lyrical GENIUS! Also to add, Silvergirl is NOT a song she wrote about herself as some believe. Stevie's songs go anywhere from slower heart-felt melodies (beautifully crafted), like Illume and Silvergirl, to more upbeat "pop" sounds like the title track, to pure untethered rock like Running Through the Garden and my personal favorite track Everybody Finds Out.
I must admit that the omission of Christine McVie is not a heartbreak for me. I found most of her songs to be too candy coated and not lyrically deep. Sometimes her keyboard playing reminded me of the Charlie Brown theme. I think I am much happier getting more songs from Lindsey and Stevie. Sorry. I have seen that my opinion is not a popular one when it comes to her and realize she is missed by many Mac fans.
I think that this is the BEST Mac album EVER! Worth every penny to buy. There is something on this album for almost everyone. This album just pulls you in and makes you play it over and over. You will have instant favorites from this brilliant new album.

Free Music Review: Equal to expectations
Hit: 5 Stars

I grew up on FM, and even with the abscence of Christine, Say You Will is knockout. I've been reading these reviews, and some people have very odd tastes. I don't understand how anyone can listen to the majority of the buckingham songs on this cd and not be blown away. Stevie has written quite a few good tracks as well, but at the end I feel she didn't mix it up enough. They both sound fantastic throughout, but a few of her songs are a miss. I tried to like "Illume," but the melody just doesn't catch me, although the percussion and guitars are good. The title track is a very catchy tune that I can't get enough of, but I find myself listening through most of the cd without repeating any one song because I don't want to skip the later songs. It's a great album, and there are no "bad" songs, but some of stevie's songs just don't have quite the power and awe-inspiring, goosebump-causing sound as most of buckingham's. My favs right now are "Murrow", "Say you will," "Everybody finds out," "Come," "Peacekeeper," "What's the world coming to," "Running through" and "Say Goodbye." And did I mention that the cover just mesmerizes me? I look at it all the time, it's such a great photo. Enjoy the new FM, and see you at the concert.

Free Music Review: Maybe I'm in the Minority but....
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm actually glad Christine McVie chose to retire (FYI, she won't be back because she won't tour. So it's more than reasonable for the Mac not to let her record with them so the accompanying tour doesn't sound weird.), because as good as she was in the band, she had really started to lose it as a songwriter toward the end. Look at the last 3 Fleetwood Mac albums to see what I mean. Almost every song was co-written and they were either saying the same thing or didn't feel like her anymore.

As for this album, it reasserts the fact that Lindsey Buckingham is one of the great guitar gods/producers of his generation and new music from him has been sorely missed in the last decade. It took a couple listens but "Murrow" is finally starting to resonate. Stevie has returned to form here, with her best song in the title track since "Stand Back." The final two tracks are heartbreaking and a gorgeous pairing. "Everybody Finds Out" reveals a more illicit side to her lovelife not ordinarily seen in her more fanciful romantic songs. As long as she and Lindsey still put out music that is entertaining and showing different sides to themselves, they should keep recording. Otherwise, they should gracefully retire like the soon to be 60 year old McVie.

Free Music Review: FM is back!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is truly an awesome work of art..It is amazing to me that Fleetwood Mac is still making relevant music after all this time. And yes, Christine is missed, but the magic between Stevie and Lindsey on this album more than makes up for it. Stand out tracks include the haunting 'Illume', 'Thrown Down', 'Silver Girl', 'Goodbye Baby', and 'Come'...Lindsey really lets go on 'Come', amazng guitar playing, he is so underrated. And yeah, there are couple of songs that border on metal, but Lindsey makes it sound great! So what if it doesn't fit the mold, thats what I've always liked about FM, always different. 'Whats the World Coming To' and 'Miranda' are classic Mac - couldv'e easily been on Tusk. About the album being too long, there are a couple of tracks that shouldv'e been left off like 'Bleed To Love Her', we heard this song on The Dance and the studio version wasn't exactly compelling, but overall, I think its a great package that blends the solo sounds of Lindsey and Stevie backed up by the awesome ryhthm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. I saw them live a couple weeks ago over in Jersey and they just rocked! best concert in years..my 15 year old brother who loves Linkin Park and Tool even likes this album...a must have for any FM fan new or old
