Free Music Notes for FloatFree Music Review: More of what made them famous Hit: 3 StarsVery good album, but they are all starting to sound the same. Great songs, the usual spirited performances.
Free Music Review: More great F.M songs! Hit: 5 StarsWow!! great new album. If you're a fan of Flogging Molly, then you will love this new album. I'm not sure if it's my favorite but it's really good. Get it if youre a fan of flogging molly or irish rock, punk bands like the dropkick murphys.
Free Music Review: FM does not live in the past, but neither do they forget it Hit: 5 StarsAs bands continue to release albums, it often seems that early fans become disappointed with the later releases due to changes in the bands' style. To often this is seen as "selling out" rather than natural progression or experimentation. I, for one, never lay blame on any band for change.
I have been a fan of FM since the release of Drunken Lullabies. They have progressed from the raw Celtic infused punk of Swagger to the more melodic and intricate music on this latest album. I for one greatly appreciate a slightly different sound on this album while still feeling a punch to the gut with the intensity of the songs. The more I listen, the more I want to listen. Nothing but words of praise for Float.
Free Music Review: Best band ever Hit: 5 StarsFlogging Molly is one of the best bands ever. the only shame of this cd is i know here in colorado i well never hear it on the radio. get this cd if you like Flogging Molly, it's one more addition to an already great library.
Free Music Review: See how they all look kind of bored on the cover? Hit: 2 StarsHow it pains me to write this. I've been a FM fan for many years, and own every other recording of theirs that I've been able to find. I've been to FM concerts, and among my most jealously guarded possessions is my shirt from the Drunken Lullabies show in Honolulu 2003. But... this one just isn't doing it for me. I mean it REALLY isn't doing it. I've tried and tried to make myself like it, but it just ain't gonna happen this time. There's no sugarcoating it, folks: this album is boring. I know that all bands evolve, and I've certainly enjoyed the ride from Swagger (favorite) through DL, and the maturation of their sound in WAMOH. But I think this is where I get off. Thanks, guys. It was fun while it lasted.
