Free Music Notes for For the Kids Too!Free Music Review: Music that we sing and dance to Hit: 5 StarsAfter getting the first CD and loving it, and then getting the second CD because of all the great reviews on Amazon, I have realized it was a smart move. Me and my daughter enjoy the majority of the songs, singing and dancing to them every time the CD's playing. I love the lyrics and music. It's kid's music that I can enjoy too.
Free Music Review: It's different different different, no CD like this ... Hit: 5 StarsThis is a bit more quirky and a little less rocking (no "snow day" or "hoppity song") than the first album but we've (two adults, four kids from 2 to 10) grown to love it. There are many great songs and we do like the new version of Rainbow Connection although it would have been nice to have more variety. "John Lee Supertaster" is from They Might Be Giants' "NO!" album and, for us (having the album), it seems out of place here.
We highly recommend this album. Now if I could only get the "Meow Meow Lullaby" out of my head ...
Free Music Review: Love the Meow Meow Song!!! Hit: 5 StarsI was cruising the iTunes store on my iPhone and typed meow in the search box for no reason and came across this cd and the Meow Meow Lullaby song by Nada Surf and loved it. I started to listen to the other tracks and was hooked. Very cool and fun music that works for both children and adults with no worries of throwing the cd through the window because of some annoying voices coming at you. ;)
Free Music Review: A bit of a snoozer... Hit: 2 StarsWe have the original For the Kids, and we absolutly love it. It's one of our daughter's favorites, and ours too. So, we were excited to purchase this follow-up album. That excitement ended when we put it in the CD player. Most of the songs are rather somber and boring. If you're an indie fan, you might like it, but your kids will quickly lose interest. Buy the first one, if you don't have it, but don't bother with this one.
Free Music Review: Car Rides Have Changed Hit: 5 StarsWe have gone from "mommy, mommy ..." "Stop kicking my chair.", "Can we get a cookie when we get to the store?" "Honey, can you please hold it we're almost there." TO: "Mommy track 4, track 4." "Okay guys but then mommy gets to listen to her favorite track 8."
Its so great.
