Free Music Notes for Interventions & Lullabies

Free Music Review: Suddenly Ariazona Doesn't seem so lame.
Hit: 5 Stars

It was four thirty in the morning sometime last summer, when I first herd my first Format song played on a alt-rock tv station. I with out haste, jumped out of bed and ordered the album. My good God, this band is awesome, The Format are truely pioneers, they have blended Jangle Pop, Indie, and many other Genera's into one fantastic undertaking. You must buy this CD it has everything. If you want to rock out and dance there are tracks like, the first single(cause a scene, and Sore thumb. If your sad and want to vent you've got On your pourch, A Mess to be made, and A save stituation. Not often would you ever give a new artist five stars but damn these guys are good.

Free Music Review: A reason to let go
Hit: 5 Stars

Interventions and Lullabies is my favorite album of 2003, and my favorite band ever. My taste in music is very diverse and this album seems to cover every angle. The vocals are so striking and the harmonies and lyrics are amazing. Every track is captivating and you'll want to listen to every song over and over. From the catchy rifts and hand clapping hit single "The First Single" to the folk-inspired "Give it Up" and the bittersweet ballad of "On Your Porch"... it's so hard to pick a favorite because every song is a highlight in itself. This is probably the one album I will never get tired of and it definitely will not play itself out.

Free Music Review: Refreshing
Hit: 5 Stars

I am not a person who usually listens to the same music or the same song over and over. I appreciate the songs, but I just dont like repetition. Interventions and Lullabies, however, has remained in my cd player for almost a month and I have never gotten tired of it. The lyrics are personal and easy to relate to. I've read a lot of reviews that mention the ease with which one finds themselves addicted to the hooks of these songs, but it really is true. Most of the chorus lines are ones that will be stuck in your head, and that's not a bad thing. I can't say enough good things about this album, it's superb. One of my all-time favorites.

Free Music Review: Best Produced Album of 2003
Hit: 5 Stars

The Format is one of those bands that are hard to market, so I guess that's why Atlantic hasn't done a damn thing to promote them. This album is beautifuly put together and will definately stand the test of time. No CD collection is complete without it. Let's see how many more cliches I can use before this review is over. You know how many CDs have that one song you have to skip over because it bores you or you hate it, well, this album doesn't have any songs like that. After I bought this album it never left my CD player for a whole month. Just go buy the album and support this band so they can hopefully put out a new CD soon.

Free Music Review: The best!
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow..this is definitally a band you should be listening to. If you haven't then there is something seriously wrong with you. I first heard them at the yellowcard/something corporate concert and they blew me away. Every song I've heard was just awesome. The guitars, vocals, drums, bass......EVERYTHING is just a wonderful sound to hear. You should have seen them..but their c.d. is also great and I hope that you get it. Also to check out more about the band you should go to www.theformat.com. wow. I just love them and i know you will too...so buy their cd....you'll just love it.
