Free Music Review: This Album's Got "A Bright Future In Sales"!!!

Track Highlights:

1.) Mexican Wine - This song is just fun and catchy all around. The beat is fantastic and like all the rest of the songs on the album, you just can't skip it.

2.) Bright Future in Sales - This is by far my favorite track on the album; not only are the lyrics great, but the beat is too. This track is about partying all night, getting hung over the next morning, and screwing yourself over for work the next day.

3.) Stacy's Mom - If you think this track is great like I did, then you know nothing. As compared to all the other songs on the album this is my least favorite. If I could put all the songs on this album from my favorite to least favorite, this song would be last.

4.) Hackensack - This is a great ballad like track. It's still mid-tempo and extremely catchy. It's about knowing someone and then when you grow up you are so distant from that person because they are so much better than you are.

5.) No Better Place - Yet another catchy song with a good rock on beat. This song is about taking stuff for granite and by leaving, you think things are going to get better, but they aren't.

6.) Valley Winter Song - This is a slow paced, Christmas sounding song. You definitely get the essence of winter in this song.

7.) All Kinds of Time - This song reminds me of "No Better Place," although this song is at a much slower pace. I guess the meaning of the song is reminiscent of "No Better Place."

8.) Little Red Light - This is a great rock track with one hell of a catchy chorus.

9.) Hey Julie - This track is yet another one of my favorites on this album. The beat is fantastic and so are the lyrics. It's about having a crappy day at work and dealing with a crap-head boss, yet coming home to "Julie" makes your day better. Most people could definitely relate to this song.

10.) Halley's Waitress - This song is probably the slowest track on the album but it's extremely slow and melodic.

11.) Hung up on you - This is another one of my favorite tracks. This song is actually a country song and it sounds fantastic. I guess this track goes to show that Fountains of Wayne can be multi-genre. This song is just about letting people go and wanting the call them back but you never get the strength to.

12.) Fire Island - This track takes place from a child's point of view. It's about being mature teens while your parents are away. The melody of this song is similar to that of Halley's Waitress.

13.) Peace and Love - Actually I lied earlier. This track would go last on my list from favorite to least favorite. All I can say about this song is that it is extremely cheesy. Although if you listen to it long enough, it becomes very catchy.

14.) Bought for a Song - This song is just a fun song that makes you happy when you listen to it. It's fast-paced so it doesn't get boring.

15.) Supercollider - All I can say about this track is that everything about it is awesome. The lyrics, beats, and melody are fantastic. Listen to it for yourself.

16.) Yours and Mine - This track has the essence of a lullaby. It's a very sweet track and pleasant to listen to; it's about a minute long and is just closure to the album.

This CD is so great I have it on constant rotation in my CD player. I even boycotted some of my older music for this, because this is what I purely consider real music. Fountains of Wayne are definitely worthy of the title: artists. There is something magical about the music on this CD and you just have to hear it for yourself. Every friend I've recommended this CD to has loved it. My parents even like this disc. Just try it out, I'm 100% positive you'll like the CD.
