Free Music Review: HYSTERICAL SATIRE IF NOTHING ELSE
Hit: 4 Stars

Yes indeed, Frank had better musically skilled line ups, but this one was one of, if not the funniest line up of all and this performance is a cut above the "Live At The Filmore" album. Ad-libbed one liners abound throughout "Billy The Mountain". Targets range from the federal goverment to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Flo and Eddie were never as funny on their own as they are here. Well worth the purchase.

Free Music Review: Great CD of live recording
Hit: 4 Stars

Billy the Mountain, a rambling, fascinating story with many musical cues that are fun to listen to, is worth the CD alone. The other great cuts are "Eddie are you kidding", a parody of an L.A. clothing store ad on TV at the time; and Call Any Vegetable, a live version of FZ's fun song about veggies that "keep you regular".

Free Music Review: A great, funny album, but not for everybody
Hit: 4 Stars

The Mothers, aided by Flo & Eddie, create a long, noodling, funny long-form story (Billy the Mountain)and top it off with the unbearably politically incorrect Magdalena, and the extremely catchy riff in Eddie Are You Kidding. If you liked "Live at the Fillmore East" you'll like this disk.

Free Music Review: pretty good
Hit: 4 Stars

Billy the mountain has some great bits, a great reworking of vegetable and dog breath, 2 great zappa guitarsolos, nice singing. magdalena not for everyone, it's about incest. eddie are you kidding is about trousers. A neat little album thank you

Free Music Review: Fond Memories
Hit: 4 Stars

My dad let me listen to this B-side vinyl when I was 11. Billy the Mountain remains one of the all time funniest things I have ever heard. I would reccomend this to anyone - it's worth whatever price just to hear it once. Trust me.
