I hope Amazon.com didn't pay for Andy Gill's pathetic critiques of Zappa's music. To dismiss Apostrophe as "More songs about Eskimos, religious deceit, poodles, pancakes and imaginary diseases" is just pure laziness. Moreover, it provides a diservice. Zappa was a rare gem in 20th century musical composition, as illustrated by Apostrophe, yet another album in a lifetime of diverse, brilliant, and moreover, original and unique, Zappa compositions.Free Music Review: Don't eat the yellow snow

One of my new personal favorites. It's hilarious without holding anything back musically. The songs are dilightfully absurd and frank has a pretty cool voice. The man can write some really good songs.
One of the songs was only O.K (Excentrifugal Forz). It was not up to Frank's incredible lyric writing ability showed in all the other songs.
All of the other songs are 5 out of 5 and make up for one 3 out of 5 song. Simply put: incredible

Apostrophe is a musical masterpeice in every sense of the word. yeah yeah I don't know the history of it or anything but frank zappa is the best artist the world has ever seen. The lyrics are fine just tying in to the odd times it was played and the hendrix/Zepplin inspired guitar is awsome. When I was a little boy I would yell "turn off that pots and pans music" but now I yell "give me more oh great Zappa, give me more".Free Music Review: Brilliant Zappa album

Some healthy advice Zappa gives - Never eat yellow snow. That should be a lesson to anyone unless they want to be the next in a new wave of Jackass stunt daredevilsStill as for the album itself it is one big story that doesn't make sense but that doesn't really matter. The music is good and that's that. Apostrophe ( the track ) is one of the best instrumentals ever recorded on tape and for that this album must be bought.

Zappa is phenomenal on this album. Every song is better than thenext all the way to the end and you just have to play it again
and some more. Whew! If you don't know Zappa and you would like
to know more of him. Buy this album! It is diverse and compli-
cated and it shows Frank's superb guitar playing throughout.
Frank makes music you have to think about. And that's a good
thing.
