Free Music Review: Zappa was a genius
Hit: 5 Stars

Frank Zappa was a genius. That he was not also commercially successful is truly a testament to the stupidity of most people,a fact which Frank acknowledged in many of his works. If you aren't very familiar with his music this CD or perhaps Hot Rats are good places to start. This CD showcases the wit of his lyrics, brilliance of his musical compositions and his ability to just balls out play guitar.

Free Music Review: Classic, seminal
Hit: 5 Stars

Jaded Zappaphiles want to dismiss this one, I see...well, give the uninitiated a break, will you? This album is great, even though its not necessarily as weird as a lot of his other groundbreakers. Well put together, and hilarious. Shows off well his unique brand of humor, and gives you something you aren't ashamed to rock to, either. The Nanook suite is indispensable. Buy, buy, buy.

Free Music Review: fan from France
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm French. I'm 20 years old. My Uncle said me one time :" Listen to this f*ckin'record!!!! '".I listened to it. And i said : " It's f*ckin'good ." This LP drives me crazy. It's one of the best pop-rock album. At the same time, it's cool & crasy, intelligent & stupid , ..... Words are unable to describe this album. Just listen to it.

Free Music Review: One for your Classics section!
Hit: 5 Stars

There are a few albums that have always stood out in my mind as ones that no matter how many times I listen to them, they never lose their appeal. This album is one of them. Zappa at his best. Funny lyrics at times, but some real serious butt-kicking guitar licks that only Zappa can do. Every song is a winner - this is his best album ever.

Free Music Review: great mix of comedy and musick
Hit: 5 Stars

This might very well be FZ's most musically complex album. Very clever lyric writing as well making it one of his funniest. Playing Zappa's music must have been a very challenging thing to do for the session players. I love the song Nanook Rubs it In, but St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast is just the craziest song i've ever heard.
