I saw Zappa/Beefheart when they toured during the making of this LP, and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen! Time has passed, and FZ and The Captain aren't touring together or individually anymore, but you can still share the magic moment when they did combine forces! I first heard this record when my friend Joe had the vinyl LP. He was into Zappa. I was always remembered the lyrics. Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart,not everyones cup of tea, so to speak." I how ever care much for them,and their music from the other side of the fence."

CHE is a great song, and with captain beefheart reading two of his brilliant word poems with FZ's band sorta backing him up should really make the hair stand up on your arms. 200 years old is another great song, and muffin man is a song that made steve vai take up guitar. THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST ZAPPA RECORDINGS. IT HAD AN EDGE THAT COULD BE USED AS A KNIFE. ZAPPA AND BEEFHEART COMBINED TALENTS AND PUT TOGETHER A BE BOP MASTERPIECE. Frank is wailing at the end of Muffin Man as the album fades out. Where's the rest of this song and where's the rest of this concert. This is a jamming, blistering performance by the master. Please re-release with the bonus tracks! Thanks! Zappa rules...
