Free Music Notes for Roxy & Elsewhere

Free Music Review: best album of all times
Hit: 5 Stars

this album has it all! best live performance i ever heard. excelent lyrics (humor!)& fine musicianship. this is a "must have" for those who take music seriously. this album also shows that frank zappa was.....and will contineou to be "ahead of his time". fine guitar solo's by frank , a funky george duke and a tremendous rhythm section (tom fowler, chester thompson & ralph humphrey. music from another planet.....was for me the ultimate intoduction to jazz music. thanks frank for making this one!

Free Music Review: Zapped by Zappa
Hit: 5 Stars

WHAT AN ALBUM !!! This is the Zappa that one should first listen to . Fluid music and astonishing stage presence. The album is a must have for any rocker who has come of age. Mature yet not boring . Rocking yet not forced in. The Mothers of Invention are a brilliant backing band for the craftman ship of Zappa. I personally like the live albums where the band interacts with the crowd as it give the out there feeling to the listener. This concert was just that , good for any mood listening. Got get it RIGHT NOW !.

Free Music Review: One of Franks's Best Live Compilations
Hit: 5 Stars

I'll keep this one short, as most of the other reviewers have done an excellent job on this one. I think I have just about all of Franks's music. Just wanted to add that "Dont you Ever Wash that Thing?" stands as one of my favorite works of Frank. A rendition that will leave musicians with their jaw agape with envy of the mind-blowing talent of this particular ensemble. "Pigmy Twilight" is pretty darn fine as well! If you are a Zappa fan, DO NOT HESITATE and add this one to your collection!

Free Music Review: One of Zappa's best LP's
Hit: 5 Stars

Having listened to this recording since it first came out, and being a ginormous Zappa fan in any case, I can assure you sans doute that this is one of the best Zappa CD's you will find. "Son of Orange County/More Trouble Everyday" alone is worth the price of purchase. In general, the period between 1972 and 1982 is his best work, in my opinion. Try "Bongo Fury" too. For what is an entree of Zappa without a surfeit second dish of Captain Beefheart? Just try not to "freak out," OK?

Free Music Review: Total musical fun
Hit: 5 Stars

After listening to this album when I was fourteen, I realized I had no choice but to be involved in music 24 /7. Frank Zappa makes a solid case for why "music is the best" and pity the poor souls who do not get it or who never get involved. God, this album is so much fun. Yet another gift for your ears from FZ and his musical peers. "Oh yeah, oh yeah, ohhhhhh!" And I forgot to mention, Bruce Fowler is one of the greatest trombone players ever recorded. Love every second of it!
