High Energy Live album featuring some of Zappa's most talented band members. Then again, aren't they all ? Great live version of Trouble Coming Everyday, I Just can't Believe....., . All kinds of great grooves, as per Zappa. Bruce Fowler, trombone, Ruth Underwood, mallets, George Duke, keyboard and vocals. All Zappa fans will appreciate ! Was fortunate enough to see this gig at the Roxy. Zappa's soloing on Penguin In Bondage is superb. If you're a Guitarist I would also recomend Black Napkins from Zoot Allures and Watermelons In Easter Hay from Joe's Garage, Willie The Pimp from Live At The Fillmore East,although only part one made it on the CD, is also representative of Zappas quality as a soloist.Free Music Review: Napoleon Murphy Brock/Chester Thompson

with NMB and CT and not to mention Ruth Underwood, this cd just cooks from beginning to end. And it is live, but upshows most studio recordings by any other band of the era, or even now. Village of the Sun and Penguin in Bondage are two songs that live in infamy in the live zappa catalog. Really a great CD, and I understand it is all remastered and lovely.Free Music Review: One of the best live performance ever recorded!!

Roxy and Elsewhere is the ultimate multicolor live experience you can get. Don't hide it from anybody!! Play it loud and share it with the world. Frank Zappa's compositions are always challenging and complex but they always bring you were you have never been before. Roxy is the good place to start. Forget labels (jazz? funk? pop?) Echidna's Arf It is the greatest song ever. Period. Thats it. To buy this cd is to own a recording of the greatest song ever. I think a chance to do something like that is worth a million dollars but you're getting it for way less. That is totally sweet, and so is the song, buy the cd NOW!
