Free Music Notes for Zoot AlluresFree Music Review: One of Zappas Best Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this albumn when it came out and immediatly fell in love with it. I've heard most and on a bunch of his albums, seen him live a few times. This "record" is as tight as they come. Zappa personally plays most instruments except for the exceptional Terry Bozio on drums. Witty as ever it's also alot of fun. Funny that anyone I've ever played it for was blown away and usually went out to buy it. It is at times dark yes but the rythms are excellent.
Free Music Review: Great Guitar Work on Zoot Allures Hit: 5 Stars
Since Frank's death it has been revealed that there were three guitar pieces, or "air-sculptures", that Frank thought of as his signature pieces. Two of these numbers, "Black Napkins" and "Zoot Allures", are on this album. Both are instrumentals which capture the genius of Zappa's guitar playing. If Zappa musically peaked in the '70's, this is the peak of the peak.
Free Music Review: Wind up workin in a gas station(I almost did) Hit: 5 Stars
This cd is classic Zappa from start to finish. Most of the songs have that twisted Zappa humor laced into them." Black Napkins"is Frank at his guitar playing best. "Ms. Pinky" and "Disco Boy" both display Frank's cool lyrics. This is my second favorite Zappa, after"Live in New York City".

Free Music Review: Zappa Rocks!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This album was the closest Frank ever came to a in your face, heavy metal, guitar album. It's worth listening to for "Black Napkins" alone. Another notable point: Some of the people that would later become "Missing Persons" appear on the album.
