Free Music Review: Translation of " Les yeux Ouverts"
Hit: 5 Stars

ia m a huge fan of the movie, and that songs Les yeux ouverts (eyes open) is my favourite! and i do speak and understand French very fluently and i am very glad to translate it for everybody. i know how when u love a song in another language you really wanna know what it means! Hope you enjoy it!

This memory I'm giving back to you.
These memories, you know I have so many.
Since we dreamed of passing days
No need to change too much.

This memory I'm taking from you.
Memories like that happen to me all the time.
If life mistakenly sets us apart,
I'll get it from my drawer.

I dream with my eyes open.
It feels good.
It does not go any farther.
I don't look back
Since I feel good.
I wish tomorrow would come quick.

A last glass of sherry.
Sherry, my love, when I feel sad.
All days look alike to me now.
I miss you so terribly.

Free Music Review: Anything with Van Morrison deserves 5 stars
Hit: 5 Stars

I am a big fan of Van Morrison, myself, and I was...shall we say overly anticipating his performance on this CD. I knew the song, 'Someone like you' was on the soundtrack and that is what drew me to it. However, I am very impressed by other tracks as well by lesser known gifted artists, such as Zuccero--Feels like a Woman-which I put on repeat and just let it go! This man's voice is strongly unique and powerful. I was especially surprised to hear Kevin Kline's melodic voice, so soothing and unobtrusive. He is a breath of fresh air. The French songs by various artists I've never heard was charming and romantic. To top this phenomenal CD and to stay true to the classic music found in most of Meg Ryan's movies is none other than the great Ella Fitzgerald's rendition of 'I love Paris'--an ethereal and serene touch to an already exquisite CD.

Free Music Review: I love this, and I never buy movie soundtracks!
Hit: 5 Stars

Every time I see this movie with someone and we get as far as the scene where Kevin Kline is stealing a car, and "Les yeux de ton pere" starts up, they inevitably say, "I HAVE to get this soundtrack!"

My sentiments exactly. I've always said the soundtrack to this movie is worth the price of admission just by itself--there's something for everyone on there (REALLY varied and eclectic), but it's all centered around that basic French feel. I can't even single out a favorite song, they're all so outstanding (and different!) it's hard to compare. Honestly, the album's opened up new musical tastes for me--The Beautiful South, Zucchero, even Bobby Darin!

Simply put, it's a great collection of songs. If you like fun, romantic music, this is for you.

Free Music Review: Very evocative, sentimental music
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the best movie soundtracks that I have ever listened to . All the songs, evoke different feelings of melancholy, joy and happiness.

Listening to the CD, evoked such a good sense of well-being and of being loved, not just by a significant other but just knowing how it feels to have someone care about you or how you feel when you care about someone.

I borrowed the CD from a friend because I had listened to La Mer and liked it. Thank you DEFB. After watching the movie and listening to the entire CD afterwards, I knew that I had to add this to my collection. The CD marries well with the movie. It reinforces all those feelings of unselfish love, sacrifice and caring that I got from the movie.

Free Music Review: PARIS....TAKE ME AWAY
Hit: 5 Stars

What a great combination of songs in this romantic CD! I have seen the movie "French Kiss" numerous times (I own the DVD) and love it! I'm not sure what took me so long to buy the soundtrack as I have always enjoyed the music in the movie, but I'm glad I finally did! Most the songs are very romantic. There are many great songs such as "Someone Like You" by Van Morrison, other songs I love include "Les Yeux Ouverts", "Feels Like a Woman" and let's not forget "I Love Paris" beautifully sung by Ella Fitzgerald. This CD really grows on you, you will love it whether you have seen the movie or not (but I recommend you also watch the movie, if you haven't yet). A great escape to Paris if you can't go there!
