Free Music Notes for Bleed Like MeFree Music Review: Wow! Not a bad song on this gem of an album. Brilliant! Hit: 5 Stars
I adore this album! I really really adore this album. It's probably my favourite album of the year and one of my favourite albums. There is not a single bad song on this album. The lyrics are beautifully written, compelling and strong. The music really hits you in fact after one song had finished i felt like something had just left me with the song. Brilliant BRILLIANT IM LISTENING TO IT WHILE IM WRITING IT AND IM GETTING SO EXCITED THAT I CANT CONCENTRATE ON WHAT IM WRITING. I did something i don't usually do with this album which is to buy it, and thats because if I haven't heard a band before i usually start with their oldest album, but after hearing this i will DIFENATELY buy their previous albums. If you think that Why do you love me was good then this album will knock you off your feet because Why do you love me is probably the weakest on the album even though its a great song. Brilliant album , HIGHLY recommended! This band is one of a kind and not what it appears to be!

What have we done to deserve something this good?
Who'd have thought that Garbage would finally deliver their first two genuine punk songs four albums into their career -- unless you count "Hammering in My Head," which I wouldn't choose to do -- and that those songs would be this much fun? And, on the other end of the spectrum, who'd have thought that they'd close with a slow burner that blows every other downtempo final track they've ever released out of the water even if you add them all up and make it a three-against-one contest?
And then we've got "Run Baby Run" with its shameless modulation, the wrenching title track, "Metal Heart" with its lethally layered guitars, and politics done right in the form of "Boys Wanna Fight." This band has never before sounded as though it was having this much fun, or as though it had this much to say. While there are a few songs I could do without (cough track 3 cough), I'm pretty much resigned to being in awe.
Free Music Review: Lovely Infusion Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is gorgeous, musically, lyrically it amazed me and I couldn't get enough of it. "Beautiful Garbage" was the first CD I ever heard in its entirety by the band and it certainly raised an eyebrow and made me take notice. Bleed Like Me and Beautiful Garbage are both gorgeous cd's. Musically they remind me of a mixture of rock, electronica, and a tidge of pop, although lyrically that just doesn't resonate; they surpass the pop culture with definitive, interesting and unique lyrical content. Shirley's voice surprisingly reminds me of Madonna, although the two artists are on opposite spectrums. I would definately recommend this CD to people who have never heard the band, don't let the "they've changed" old school fans turn you off to this great CD. People always expect bands to stay the same (Metallica knows this all too well). They are artists and they change and grow and if you want the same CD over and over, well you already own it. Buy this CD.
Free Music Review: Let it bleed Hit: 5 Stars
What can you say about Garbage that has not been said before? Their rage and power were the heart of what was the mid to late nineties. Comprised of electronica, goth, and punk, Butch Vig and Duke Erikson created this super-strength goliath that will always be legendary. Shirley Manson is the ultimate female singer. She has the beauty of Debrah Harry, the attitude of Patti Smith, the writing ability of Chrisie Hynde, and the soulfulness of Annie Lennox. Gwen Stefani can't touch her with a ten foot pole.
This album marks their I guess you can say their rebirth because like with all bands there were problems. The problems were going to end the band but their love for their music resolved that.
The songs are similar to what they have released in the past. Songs like "Why do you love me?" deals with Shirley's break up with her husband. Eventhough my personal favorite album is 2.0, this album will soon be a classic as well.
Free Music Review: Garbage triumphs again!!! Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, I give Garbage two thumbs up for releasing a great hard rocking album! I am a huge Garbage fan, and unlike most, I loved all of thier albums, including "Beautifulgarbage" which has some of my favorite songs such as "Nobody Loves You," "Shut Your Mouth," and "Cup of Coffee." Garbage is excellent at mixing electronic beats, guitars, drums, synthesizers, and last but certainly not least, Shirley Manson's powerful yet catchy lyrics. "Bleed Like Me" certainly showcases all of these components but does place more emphasis on the guitars this time around, which certainly isn't a bad thing. Some standout tracks are "Metal Heart," "It's all over but the crying," and "Right between the eyes." Honestly, every song on this CD is awesome, so do yourself a favor, and go buy this CD, and please, don't burn it!!!
