Free Music Notes for GarbageFree Music Review: GARBAGE TO GARBAGE Hit: 5 Stars
After this album and "Push IT", the Garbage musik became Garbage...I don't understand why they change their depress mad attitude for sappy snappy happy good relatioships love, could it be they hang out with Paula Abdul and Britney Spears?...wassup with that, but enough!, this is the most essential album of GARBAGE, yes!, so rock, so depressive, so much anger, I BOUGHT THIS for "Only Happy When It Rains" could a song get any better than that!, "Queer" it's boring, "Vow" it's understandable, "Milk" should have been a massive hit!, so delightful! so much sadness, I don't get the song!, but it's in a sad mood, so i like it!, there is another song?, I guess it's the first one!, has such an amazing beat!, this album it's so good I hear it from beginning to the end, that's why I dunnot rememebr some tracks names, but it's good, better than the two that followed, something happen to Garbage as the same as for The Cranberries, they went from perfectly done albums to lame poppy releases that nobody except Jessica Simpson cared.
Free Music Review: A Breath Of Fresh Air Hit: 5 Stars
When I first purchased this album we were in the swells of a grunge revolution. I was a teen-age girl in a flannel shirt then and everything I lisened to was heavy, guitar driven, musical slop about depression, how your parents didn't understand me, and that all men were evil creatures after one thing. Then one night on MTV's 120 Minutes a tall red head appeared on the screen and started crooning a song called "Vow". I was transfixed. Here was a incredibly sexy women (with an incredible voice) demanding to be heard. The next day I ran out to the record store and bought their sell titled debut album. Every song on it said something differrent to me, each song a story. It was a testament to my not-quite-fully-developed beliefs and it truly taught how to be a woman and to get what I want. Not to mention that in a period of truly ragged music, it breathed new life into a music industry that was fixated on on greasy haired twenty-something males with questionable or no talent at all.
Free Music Review: Garbage's Darkest CD Yet Hit: 5 Stars
Garbage is my favorite band, they're amazing. Shirley Manson is amazing, that voice is so dark, and enchanting. (Get this, she dosen't think she sings good at all) I first bought "Version 2.0" And it BLEW me away, I was amazed, and my opinions of music changed forever. Back then I used to listen to poppy stuff, once I got that CD, I was obsessed with depressing, dark, Rock music. Then I bought "BeautifulGarbage" and was very very disappointed. "BeautifulGarbage" was an awful album, it's too happy! It's nothing like thier other albums. Then I bought "Garbage" And I was reminded of a darker "Version 2.0". This album is so beautifully dark and depressing, I absolutely LOVE it! Every song is great. My absolute favorites are "Supervixen", "Only Happy When It Rains", "Vow", "Stupid Girl", "Milk", "Fix Me Now", etc. They're all spectacular! Buy this!
Free Music Review: A 90's Classic! Hit: 5 Stars
Garbage's selftitled debut album is really one of the best and most influentual rock albums of the 90's. Not only it is very diverse with lots of diffrent sounding songs it's also personal and beautiful. Butch Vig who had been producing Nirvana finally started his own band(why the name Garbage?), and with Shirley Manson as the singer it was difficult to fail. She's not only a very good singer with a very interesting voice, she also have a tendency to both sound depressing and seductive when she sings. There's a great variation of songs here, it's a mix of Grungre guitar riffs and and Trip Hop, both catchy and dark songs. None of the songs are bad but the most remarkable one's are probably "Queer" about beeing diffrent, "Only happy when it rains" which is a dark song where Manson's haunting voice fits perfectly, and "Milk" a ballad, quite weird lyrics but great song. Many reviewers have said it before, so i'll have to agree. This is a real 90's classic.
Free Music Review: Garbage; One Of The Best Albums Of The 90's Hit: 5 Stars
If youre looking for great alternative music, look no further than the debut from Garbage. With Butch Vig's wizardry and Shirley Manson's smart mouth, Garbage delivers a trash bag full of tricks and treats that never get old or dated. The aftermath of the classic Nevermind album from Nirvana, Garbage revived the hip and witty side of alt-rock, fusing it with electronica and sweet ear candy that practically drips from the speakers like honey. Opening with why-was-this-not-a-single "Supervixen", Garbage just glides by, spinning yarns of depression, religion, revenge, and stupid girls. Ive heard people say its not raw enough, too calculated and over produced, and i could not disagree more. Its the most played rock album in my collection, and I think its still hip, intelligent, and powerful since it came out in '95. "Vow" is my favorite song on the album. I highly recommend this one. You will not be dissapointed.
