This is great. Everyone knows it and everyone who has it loves it. It has the immortal live version of Friends In Low Places, the greatest of all rednitions of it. To Make You Feel My Love and Unanswered Prayers are truly inspired ballads, everyone sings along and every cries because they are just so beautiful. Garth was made to perform live and this is the best thing he cando. Callin' Baton Rouge is high energy and the best song to start off with. The great story songs are here, The Thunder Rolls, Papa Loved Mama, just outstanding. The River is truly inspired. We Shall Be Free is great gospel. Wild As The Wind is a perfect Brooks/Yearwood duet. Much Too Young never sounded better. The Dance is the perfect song to end with. The Fever, Tearin' It Up and Ain't Goin' Down are just great party song, Friends ... is the best. It's perfecly lined up and excellently produced every Garth and country fan has to have this.Free Music Review: For every Garth fan!

This double CD delivers a great selection of Garth's music, with superior audio quality. It is reasonably priced, and it is packaged with the fan in mind. Listening to "Unanswered Prayers" is an experience - the crowd sings along with Garth, which is incredible. Its almost as if he has 20,000 back-up singers. Of course, what's a Garth live album without great tracks like "Friends In Low Places", "The Thunder Rolls", "Callin' Baton Rouge", and "Ain't Goin' Down (Until The Sun Comes Up)"? "Double Live" is impressive as far as delivering the sound on stage to the sound on the CD! I was personally amazed by the quality - I can only think of a handful of live CDs that compare to this double CD. Its a perfect souvenir for anybody who went to one of his shows and lived the experience.Free Music Review: Electrifying!

I had the pleasure of being at his concert at the SkyDome in Toronto when part of this cd was recorded. What tracks on here though that were recorded there, it doesn't say. But nonetheless, it brings back wonderful memories of that night. In fact after the concert, as we were leaving, his tour bus went by, and he and his band were giving everyone waves and high-fives. What an unexpected pleasure. I have never been to a concert before or since, that was so electrified. The whole audience participated, and Garth never stopped; there was no opening band...he was the whole show. The stamina and energy he pocesses is amazing. He sang his heart out and the crowd loved him. And what shone through was his love for the audience, and the sheer joy with which he performed. I now hear that he may be, or is, retiring. If he does, he will be sorely missed.Free Music Review: Very good

Although it's not an official greatest hits cd, this is the closest that Garth Brooks has gotten. With classics like 'Ain't goin down till the sun comes up', The Thunder Rolls, The Dance and 'Standing Outside the Fire', Garth Brooks proves that he is the greatest and most influential male country vocalist in the 90's. With additional verses to Friends in low places, and The Thunder Rolls, Garth Brooks thrills his audience and fans once again. One of the best things about Garth Brooks is many of his songs are not the repetitive whining that seems to dominate country singers today. Garth mixes not just the classic steel guitar but also the rock n roll background of the electric guitar. His songs can be listened to even by those not tolerant of country music, yet at the same time satisfies classic country lovers.

Garth Brooks live album was released with your choice of seven covers. Recorded during various tours and at numerous concerts Garth Brooks Double Live delivers many of his biggest hits,and three songs that hadn't been released on any of his prior albums. Garth is all about giving a great show and proforming the songs his fans love to hear. The performances are kind of sloppy at times, and on many songs the audience ends up singing a couple of the verses,which doesn't really take away from the enjoyment of the album,it makes the experience more authentic. If you expect the songs to sound exactly like the originals then buy the studio albums,duh!!!,people who complain about the songs not sounding the same.If you want to experience Garth Brooks high energy show,then check out Garth Brooks Double Live.
