Garth brought me to Country music and has continued to be its best ambassador. In this double live collection, you've got all of Garth--from the serious balladeer to the raucous cowboy of the '90s. This collection goes all the way back to his debut with the classic Garth Brooks release that contained his quiet classic, The Dance, and includes all of his radio hits as well as the classics that only his record buyers have come to love just as much. I think that Garth is best appreciated when he's in concert. He puts out so much energy into his concert and fans there can feel his love of the music. Finally, this isn't a definitive collection, because he's going to be putting out many more albums in the years to come. But for now, it's the best one-stop Garth shop going.Free Music Review: STOP bad-mouthing this C.D.!

First of all, I want to thank all of the cool people who love this C.D. as much as I do. I also want to thank Garth for taking the time to respond to the comments he recieved on Amazon. Every review I have read in non country music magazines (Entertainment Weekly, Time, etc.) have said that this C.D. is filled with "forgettable" music that is off-key, and the only reason Garth made it was to out-sell the Beatles. Well, I read an interview three years ago where he said he wanted to make a live album. Everyone who says that Garth can't sing probably can't sing at all themselves, and are just being hypocrits. I'm not saying that everyone has to like Garth, but just keep in mind that a lot of people love his music, and think he has a great voice.Free Music Review: ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!

From the day I bought this C.D. I havn't lisened to anything else. It is so great that it actually makes you feel like you are at one of his concerts. I can't believe that anyone would criticize this album negitively, because it is just so good. I get sick when I hear someone say that the album is bad because it dosen't sound like it comes from a studio, then they say that the album is full of studio overdubs. The only thing that could have made this C.D. better is if the comments made between songs were omitted onto the album. I liked the variety of songs, and I love the three new songs, though. I am going to get all 6 covers(the covers are awesome!) To whoever reads this I just want to tell them that this is definately the C.D. to buy.Free Music Review: An incredible display...

Not only does Brooks capture the essence of country music in this album, but he also captures the sheer electricity of his live performance. This is the single best live album I have personally ever heard. It's a literal circus in your mind. As for all those who claim "Garth Brooks Ruined Country Music," maybe they should ponder WHY Alan Jackson has so many thousands of fans. If not for Garth Brooks, millions of people would never have fell in love with country music. From the electric "Ain't Goin' Down" to the somber and heart-wrenching "The Dance", Garth captures the very essence of country music, having a good time and speaking from the heart. Don't I wish they would. Unfortunately, I'm going to have purchase it. My cd player died and ate my original copy of this double album. I think this is one of Garth Brooks' greatest albums which, from me is high praise. I am a fan of Garth Brooks but not a fanatic fan,if you understand my meaning, and I have do not always want to purchase his albums. This album, however,is different. Even if the album I originally purchased had not met its doom in the jaws of a cd eating player, I'd probably want a second copy of it. The selection of songs is fantastic and those special extras, the long versions of The Thunder Rolls and Friends In High Places just add to the enjoyment of this great double ablum. I consider it a must buy.
