Whilst people hear are moaning about Garth doing this box set with only 6 new songs on, it's funny how they don't mind George Strait doing it. Garth's only "mistake" here was putting the 1 new track on every album, if he had put all 6 tracks together at the end of the compilation, like most acts, most people wouldn't say anything.
Some so called people claming to be "true Garth fans" have been here moaning about this set. I don't buy that for a minute. I am a true garth fan myself and I have enjoyed this box set ever since I bought it in 1999. Yes, I already had the original albums but I treated myself to this and I haven't regretted it.
The new songs such as "Which One Of Them" and "Uptown Downhome Good Ol' Boy" are up their with Brook's top 40 hit's.
This album contains his 1st six studio albums, including two of the three GB albums I consider my favorite "In Pieces" and "No Fences" (the other is "Sevens", recorded after this set came out, if you were wondering).
If you "Can't afford" this, then don't buy it. Simple as that really.
If you can, it sure is worth the money and is more generous than mosts artists box sets, i. e George Strait, who's only newly recorded bonus track for his box set came out on his next album anyway.
