Free Music Notes for The Ultimate HitsFree Music Review: A MUST FOR ANY GARTH FAN! Hit: 5 Stars
Start your Garth Brooks music collection here. This incredible 2 CD, I DVD package contains most of the tracks that defined his career, including the rowdy party anthem "Friends In Low Places," the tender "If Tomorrow Never Comes," the inspirational "Unanswered Prayers" and "The River," the passionate "Shameless," "When You Come Back to Me Again," and "What She's Doing Now," the dramatic "The Thunder Rolls," the happy-go-lucky "Two of A Kind (Working on a Full House)," and the romantic "To Make You Feel My Love". You'll also get the concert favorites "Rodeo," "The Beaches of Cheyenne," "Papa Loved Mama, "We Shall Be Free," "Callin' Baton Rouge," "The Fever" and "Two Pina Coladas", along with Garth's favorite song he's ever recorded, "The Dance." Also included are duets with Steve Wariner, George Jones, Huey Lewis and of course, his wife Trisha Yearwood. Meanwhile, the DVD is a collection of music videos (including three brand new ones), concert footage and performances from awards shows and TV shows set in chronological order to give fans the best visual Garth experience on the market.
Free Music Review: Defiantly More than a Memory Hit: 5 Stars
Garth Brooks is also another Icon in country music just like George Strait but in his own right of course. Any fan of country music should add this to their collection. Garth mixes in a little old in with a little new and it turned out to be a surperb recipe. Some of my favorite songs on here are Friends in Low Places, Callin Baton Rouge, The Dance, Good Ride Cowboy, If Tomorrow Never Comes, Rodeo, & Shameless. More than a Memory is another great song to hear if yall havent already that Garth has came out with recently. That song showed that Garth can still kick butt even with a 3-5 year absence. I really enjoyed this collection of songs. Most of his greatest hits are on here. The new remake of Workin for a Livin is also on here as well with Huey Lewis. Great collection of Garth songs. A true Masterpiece. You even get a 3rd cd which some of Garth's music videos are on so that defiantly added more to the cd's. Once again, a Masterpiece.
I highly recommend on getting this, for any country music fan. Great collection.
Free Music Review: Near Perfect Collection Hit: 5 Stars
Because Garth Brooks has so many hits, it had to be quite the feat, but they did an excellent job of putting this collection together. The set contains a vast collection of his work. The DVD video collection could have been marketed as a stand alone and is worth the price of the set itself.
Since I don't have any of Garth's past albums, I really wish "Somewhere Other Than the Night" and "Not Counting You" were included in the collection, but it includes Shameless, The Dance, Rodeo, What She's Doing Now, Friends In Low Places, Papa Loved Mama, If Tomorrow Never Comes, To Make You Feel My Love, We Shall Be Free, Two Pina Coladas, The Thunder Rolls, Much Too Young, Unanswered Prayers, and many others along with 3 new tracks (More Than A Memory, Midnight Sun and Workin' For A Livin') for a total of 33 tracks.
For someone who buys a lot of albums but not generally hit collections, it was a stretch for me to buy this. I'm glad I did because I feel as if I've won the jackpot.
Free Music Review: MARKETING GENIOUS STRIKES AGAIN!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
You have to really admire Garth's marketing skills. This retirement thing is like he is just baiting the hook and we are the fish. I don't mind either because the route that country music has taken is a turn for the worse. Although there is some talent out there, they are just Nashville's puppets. This latest ultimate hits package from Garth is awesome! You get over 2 hours of music and then another 2 hours of videos for a very reasonable price. Also you get all of the lyrics to the songs, like we didn't know them already right? For the women, they can admire the many pictures of Garth inside. 2 CD's and 1 DVD for under $13.00. Maybe if some other record labels would try this they would sell more CD's rather than people just stealing or buying just the songs that they want to hear off of the internet. Keep up the good work Garth and I guarantee that when you do release a new studio album it will explode off of the shelves, but then you know this right?
Free Music Review: Yet another greatest hits set but what a set! Hit: 5 Stars
Garth Brooks has shipped over 123 million albums now and overtaken Elvis as the officially recognised best selling solo artist of all-time. A large percentage of these sales have been greatest hits releases which this new one also is. However, despite a few new songs you also get a set of videos for the songs a lot of which are new representing something worth having for all the Garth fans that have bought the previous "hits" releases. As for the music then there can be no question that it's worth the money if you don't have them as songs like "Friends in Low Places", "The Dance" and "If tomorrow never comes" are all-time classics. With Garth in semi-retirement it seems unlikely that we will get a new album full of new stuff anytime soon but this must mark the end of the "hits" releases as he's probably sold more "hits" albums than 90% of artists manage for original releases.
