Free Music Review: A great album

I'm not a country music fan, but on a recent airline trip, I heard this album on the Delta system, and loved it. Had to have it. For you to see how far out of the country music scene I am, I'll tell you that I knew of Garth Brooks and that he had a lot of fans, but I didn't know any of his music. "We Shall Be Free" sounds like a country/gospel version of the old folk music I love. Music with a message. I also love "The Dance," "If Tomorrow Never Comes," and "Friends in Low Places." The DVD that comes with this set is also great. Some of the numbers are from videos he's made for CMT or something while others are live from concerts or a composite of concerts. As a result of this album, I've started to listen more to country music.Free Music Review: This DVD Deserves Ten Stars!

Five stars isn't enough for this fantastic DVD (except for the talking interludes on the first disk. We aren't into all those extras that are on so many DVD's. Just give us the upfront stuff!) We weren't really that much into Garth before this set. But now we listen to several of the disks at least once a week. The photography and audio are great! And we don't know if the Irish are better at karaoke than Americans, but the audience singing on the Ireland disk is superb.
We could go on and on, but instead of that: If you're a Garth fan, you have got to have this set! If you aren't a complete Garth fan, you will be after you watch this collection!

I initially purchased this CD set to support the Komen Foundation. However, after getting my copy I am very impressed with the amount of music that is provided at such a great price. Imagine you normally pay $15.00 plus just for the double CD set. To add a DVD of music video makes this and excellent value.
I agree that it is pretty much what we have purchased on other CD's, but the entire package (plus the new songs) makes this a very worthwhile purchase. Even for someone who owns all of the other Garth CD's (and I do), I still think this is well worth the dollar.

A must have for the Garth Fan. It was a gift for my GF, and she has thanked me numerous times. The DVD that comes with the set was worth the price alone. I personally was never a Garth Brookes fan, but this set changed that. I also like his cover of Little Feat's Dixie Chicken [not on this set] My GF asked "who's singing Garths' song? I replied "the people that wrote it". A Google search proved me right, and so she bought me the No Fences cd so I could hear how Dixie Chicken should be done. The 3 disk set was brand new, and under $15.00. Well worth the money.Free Music Review: Loved these CDs

I loved the CDs, and the DVD. All of Garth's hits are here, and some others that I'd not heard before. There is only one song that I did not like, but that's okay. I have both CDs in my truck and sing along when I have to do road trips. I also like that there are a LOT of numbers on each CD, not just 7 or 8. And the DVD is fun to have on when nothing's on TV. Overall, very good selection, well-produced, good sound quality, loved it.
