Really enjoyed the movie. Exceptional photography with views as the sunburst and the green sea.
It was the music that set this picture in the "five star" category. The music does not need the picture to make it in to the "five star" category. At first I just listened to this as back ground music while reading. Later I found it was also good driving music. In general the music goes with just about anything you are doing, even contemplating

For my money GATTACA should have won the Best Film Oscar and certainly the Best Original Score Oscar, instead of making do with an Art Direction nomination. This is a brilliantly conceived futuristic film that is unnervingly quiet - a thoughtful and mind-provoking look at a society that has become rigid and automized and an individual who dares to question it. Jude Law's supporting performance should have also netted an Oscar. The score is brilliant, eery and evocative,and ultimately quite moving. This soundtrack is incredible. It blends into the movie perfectly. When I listen to it, I can see images of the movie in my mind and make me wish to see the movie again. At times the soundtrack is dark, but that is what makes it so good. It touches you at a deep level and makes you wish the soundtrack was even longer. I rank this soundtrack in my top five of all time. (Gattaca, Last of the Mohicans, fifth Element, The Rock, Star Wars) If your looking for a dark and moody soundtrack, then I whole heartedly suggest this one.Free Music Review: watched the movie- had to get CD

My roomie actually turned me on to this movie, which i found amazing in itself, PLUS the soundtrack is awesome, i am ordering BOTH for him for xmas- he had his CD stolen during a move, and his 2 vhs tapes are dead,- from watching it so much. i know that this is one of the most moving soundtracks out there- plus one of the MOST relaxing ones- i tear when i hear certain parts, plus i am about to go through a gastric bypass surgery- and the CD will be used as a relaxation disc, when i get home- WenFree Music Review: Amazing

Michael Nyman is a genius. I don't really know if anything else needs to be said. His skill in creating tracks that so perfectly reflect the mood of the subject is nearly without equal. In particular on this album, I like the theme, which is Morrow, and it's used as a basis for other tracks on the disc, my favorite being The Other Side. The power of the music in Morrow is great, but The Other Side is just breathtaking. A great soundtrack from a great movie.
