After the disastrous sound quality of their recent box sets, Genesis have released a sonically amd musically superb live album. Makes one wonder what the hell is going on in the Genesis camp these days.
While the tour set list is almost a ''best moments'' compilation from their previous tours, really you can't argue with the fact that no one plays better than this band. These songs are challenging for the best of musicians and I just sit there amazed wondering how they can pull it off.
One small complaint is the absence of the crucial vocal part on Dukes Travels. But hey I just sing along instead! Maybe Genesis can give me an audition if Phil leaves again!

For those of us who missed the opportunity to see Genesis in 2007, we thankfully have this excellent live recording of the European tour. The song mix is excellent, with a real good representation of both classic Genesis and the pop stuff. The music is noticably keyed lower, to accomodate Phil's aging voice box, but is excellent on all counts. The sound quality of the recording is also impecable, and the whole package is nothing less than we'd expect from a top flight band like Genesis. My hope is that the boys will see that the demand is still there for their brand of music, and hopefully we'll see a studio album from them in the future. 5 stars!

Yup..they still got it after all these years. But ANOTHER live Genesis release ! We had "Genesis Live" , "Seconds Out" , "Three Sides Live" , "The Way We Walk , Volume One : The Shorts" , "The Way We Walk , Volume Two : The Longs" and there was a live disc in each of "The Archive Series" boxes. (2 in the Gabriel-era box , as it was a live performance of "The Lamb")....So exactly WHAT is so special about THIS live release. Absolutely nothing. It is an awesome sounding , stunningly performed slick package of some older stuff , mostly newer stuff from guys who know what they are doing. Special ? No. Worth buying ? With this double disk live set I was far impressed givin the age of these guys. I was really upset however when I first bought "Turn it on again tour edition" I was expecting at least a couple of live tracks. But, They fully fixed that with this cd set. This album will keep you on your feet and will bring it all back to you, for you older folkes. There isnt a complaint about this album, They even fixed the silence from track to track, as the way we walk had. (yay!) So anyone even thinking of buying this album, it's a must do. I bought this CD today and when I played it every song I listen to sounded different. Then I relised that this is top music and awsome singing from phil collins who is older than his last tour which was The way we walk 1999. The good thing about this is that they sing all there classic songs like turn it on again, no son of mine tonight tonight tonight and invisible touch. There is a new version of throwing it all away. to finish it off they finally sing the Carpet Crawlers song LIVE This is a awsome CD and I recomened this to any genesis fan.
