Free Music Notes for Live Over EuropeFree Music Review: Best in years! Hit: 5 Stars
Phil Collins proves once again he is the king of drums! This is the best I've heard from Genesis in many a year.
Great job guys...you have proved (once again) true talent is ageless.

Having been a Genesis fan for 20 odd years I think they're still a great band and so is this cd of their comeback tour. It was great to hear Phil and the guys again.

Free Music Review: Welcome Back Genesis!!!!! Hit: 4 Stars
When it has came to classic rock reunions, there have been very few this past year that really have delivered from the heart like the ones from Britain. That has really maintained being true from the success of The Police and their big reunion which was most of the main hype. But believe it or not, the big reunion cam mainly from Genesis. After 15 years on stage without their main star, Phil Collins, Genesis mainly felt like they were left in the dark. Nevertheless, the group had a big reunion with all the fans excited. That has been said very well, after their live reunion on VH1's Rock Honors back in May, which was the big talk of the show. Now, the group has proven that well with a big reunion tour, and this is the Europeans saying they can't truly dance!!
Genesis's 2007 live album, Live Over Europe is a collection of 21 of the groups big tracks, recorded during many of their live performances from the European leg of the groups acclaimed reunion tour. The double album takes some of the performances from places like Helsinki, Italy, Paris, and Germany. While the collection wasn't made as one simple live concert, the feeling that matches the mood of the album is well-measured, and showcased from Phil's tireless soulful voice. The album includes some of their best songs performed for the first time in years to a new generation of fans. The album contains live rendiditions of tracks No Son Of Mine, the somber Hold On My Heart, their first hit as a threesome Follow You Follow Me, the deep and dark Home By The Sea, and other great classics like Invisible Touch and the haunting Mama. While the sound is different than the key we used to hear them play as whole, the songs feel just like they are fresh as the day they performed together in years.
Sadly though, while I wish that Genesis could've performed some of their other favorites like In Too Deep and Jesus He Knows Me on this live album, but Live Over Europe takes the feeling of reintroducing Genesis well to a new era for die hard fans, but nicely as well for anyone who seems to be more into acts like the crazy screwed-up Britney Spears and Fall Out Boy. It is great to hear Genesis as a whole for the first time in years, and the heart is right on with Europe.
