Free Music Review: Very good quality, excellent tunes

I had been hearing some of George Baker's songs since the 70's, and I simply love their rendition of Paloma Blanca which is worth the whole album. I also like "Little Green Bag" which is quite an energetic song.

This group artfully blends strings with what is a distinctly European type sound to create a synthesis of same that is very pleasing indeed.

Some of their stylings range from an almost "Country Western" feel to a more 70's Disco sound.

Excellent Album.

Best of George Baker Selection Poster

The Dutch guitarist was part of a mini dutch invasion of the early 1970's (along with Tee Set and Shocking Blue) and hit with "Little Brown Bag", but it wasn't until 1975 that he hit big with "Una Paloma Blanca", adopted by the disco set before disco went mainstream. This disc compiles his best material on a single volume.
