Free Music Notes for George HarrisonFree Music Review: Well worth the wait!! Hit: 5 Stars
This album finally became available in CD format 25 years after its initial release. It is a great album, containing some memorable songs. I really enjoy "Love Comes to Everyone" and "Blow Away," (the latter of which was supposedly inspired by Harrison doing simple house chores), among others. George Harrison was a most gifted song writer as well as singer, and this album speaks to his talents. It is tragic that he did not live to see this album re-released.
Free Music Review: Lovely, blissful...a real treasure. Hit: 5 Stars
It's such a shame this album is often overlooked. Most fan/critical buzz is over All Things Must Pass, which is a brilliant set in its own right. But if you're looking for a relaxed and happy George (newlywed and new father!), you can find him right here. "Love Comes To Everyone" and "Blow Away" are real gems that are easy on the ears. This is a cd you can repeat over and over in your car or on your daily walks.
Free Music Review: Very, very 70's Hit: 5 Stars
This essential Harrison release from the 70's is a must have. I haven't heard this album before, but I bought it, along with all of the other re-released discs. I like this album. The songs dedicated to his wife are top-notch, along with the leadoff track. "Not Guilty" is an acoustic version, I prefer the Beatles version, but the acoustic version is mellower. I recommend this one.
Free Music Review: George's Overlooked Gem Hit: 5 Stars
This is right behind All Things Must Pass as George's best album imo ...there's not a clunker in here . Faster and Blow Away got a little airplay but are pretty much forgotten . Sweet Dark Lady is a beautiful ballad as is Soft Touch ..Not Guilty which was available on Beatle bootlegs and later released on Anthology 3 is really pretty too . A great overlooked album by one of the Beatles .
Free Music Review: Pleasantly surprised by how good this is. Hit: 5 Stars
Beyond All Things Must Pass, Cloud 9 and the Live in Japan CD, I was completely unfamilar with any of George's other solo material. This is an awesome CD. I was not disappointed at all. There is not a bad song on this CD. Its cool to hear the solo version of Not Guilty and compare it to the Beatles "Version" that appeared on Anthology 3.
