Free Music Notes for Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best of George MichaelFree Music Review: The Title Says it All Hit: 5 Stars
How many British singers do you know have performed duets with Aretha, Mary J., Whitney, Elton, Jody Watley, and Queen? George Michael's popularity may have waned in the America in the last decade, but he still remains a multiplatinum star in the UK and continues to land Top Ten hits. This double-disc set compiles all of George's hits, including two new songs: the smoothed-out ballad "One Moment With You," and "Outside," which was apparently inspired by his headline-grabbing 1998 incident with the police. Disc 1 has the ballads, and disc 2 has the uptempo dance numbers. Folks should take note that this CD contains a different mix of "I Want Your Sex." In addition, the US version does not have the dynamite duet with Mary J. Blige "As," which can be found on the UK version. Those gripes aside, this is a pretty good collection from one of the most talented singers of the last twenty years.
Free Music Review: His songs are good enough to attract 14-YEAR OLDS!!! (me) Hit: 5 Stars
Okay, you're probably not going to listen to me because I'm a teenager and all teenagers are supposed to overreact. But this is a really a wonderful CD. Dude, this is the best album I've ever experienced (better than backstreet boys)!! It has 2 Cds with different moods. One is "for the heart" which contains smooth, serene love songs in it to melt your senses. He has a wonderful voice that just pierces through your body! The other CD is "For the Feet" which contains loud, fun music like "Faith" and "I want your sex". The double CD contains 2 full 28 page booklets with pictures and lyrics of him in silver print. All the songs are unique in its own way and "Heal the Pain" is very exciting! And let's not forget the famous "Careless Whisper"! I practicallly worship this CD. It is truly the best of George Michael.
Free Music Review: We Had A Little Faith Hit: 5 Stars
In the 80's, George Michael was on top of the world. As a part of Wham!, he achieved monster success. On his own, he started of earn even greater joy. But in the 1990's, his popularity fizzled to his departure from the public eye. Ladies & Gentlemen, is an spectacular anthology from George Michael. There were even more songs than I thought it would be. The songs remain as catchy and dynamic as ever. Outside, to me I think of that hilarious video George poked fun at his "John" scenario. A Different Corner, expresses loss and lingering for love and happiness when your feel betrayed by your love. The other songs blend in seperately on two CD's. One for ballads, the other for Dance. From Jesus To A Child, to One More Try. George Michael became even the better performer than the music industry predicted. He still brings out an little faith to everyone.
Free Music Review: Don't fret for me, but get on your knees for GM... Hit: 5 Stars
After having my entire CD collection and my stereo stolen from my home, I cried for all the GM and Wham CD's I had meticulously collected over the years. A hit from GM is always a hit. How about the Best of Wham CD released late last year that I won at a Wham tribute night. I was so proud and now it's gone. BUT...along comes this simple 2 CD set that replaces all of those CD's in one hit! There is nothing on this set that doesn't exude his charm or cheekiness. The bonus is that when you put "For the Feet" into the CD-Rom on your PC, you get connected to a site that promises to email you with more pictures and info on GM, including a report from the man himself! Try it. Never a bad review from myself as I adore George Michael. There is nothing better than singing these hits in the car, with the windows down, of course!!
Free Music Review: A brilliant double from George. Outside is just sensational. Hit: 5 Stars
Having read several reviews, I have to somewhat disagree with one or two of them. This album is just a reflection of some of the great work that he has produced. Sure some albums include the same songs, but when he produces something new it either picks you up and moves the body and soul into a funky groove or he produces a song,as his latest double suggests, for the heart; GM gives you something to think about. He paints a picture of all the hurt he has endured over the last few years and produces some of the best dance music ever. The ballads are just as equally exceptional.George Michael is an artist who still has not received the respect he ought to. Buy his albums or singles and "listen to his music". You will undoubtedly lift as he does when he sings. Keep on "Funkin" George.
