I bought this double CD the week it came out in 1998. I loved a lot of the songs on there! The ballads still sound good, thought the first CD tends to drag in the middle. His remake of the Bonnie Raitt song isn't all that exciting. I still like Mother's Child, Jesus To A Child, Older, Praying for Time, One More Try from Faith (his best ballad), Father Figure and others. But the second CD says a lot about George Michael as an artist! He can tear it up on songs like the Monkey remix, Too Funky, Fastlove, Outside, Faith, and one other song from Faith. Although George's recent albums have not sold as well, this collection represents the best from his three solo albums, songs from soundtracks, and live performances. The For The feet CD features such foot moving songs as Outside, Fast Love and Spinning the Wheel.
The Ballad CD features a wonderful assortment of relaxing/make out songs that really illustrate how versitile George can be.
He has a wonderful voice like butter.

George Michael is one of Pop's most versatile Artists and a true Survivor. It's no suprise then that "Ladies & Gentleman: The Best of George Michael" is an Annual Best Seller at Amazon the world over! The opening track on the "for the heart" CD1, "Jesus to a Child", is nothing short of stunning: "Sadness in my eyes; no one guessed, well no one tried; you smiled at me; like Jesus to a Child; loveless and cold; with your last breath you saved my soul; you smiled at me; like Jesus to a Child." George does just a competent take of "I Can't Make You Love Me"; Bonnie Raitt's version is definitive. But he more than makes up for it with his own "Praying for Time", a song with a timeless message. CD2 "for the feet" contains all the mid and uptempo Dance/Pop Hits. Highlights include "Freedom 90" and "Faith". George's fans should also check out the new release from Pop/Rock Artist Amber - "My Kind of World". Amber's CD is an eclectic Collection of Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Dance Tracks. Though not a Greatest Hits Collection like George's CD, "My Kind of World" may as well be. It contains enough potential Singles to keep it in the Charts for the next 2 years! Billboard in it's glowing review of the CD said that "Amber deserves a spot in the Mainstream!". I have all of George Michaels' cds since he went solo and there is not one I would so much as even lend to my closest friend. "Best of George Michael" is just that, a collection of his most popular hits and his best work to date. He is one of a very few singer/song-writers that can move you to extremes with his voice and music. Dance when you really didn't want to, laugh and enjoy the sounds; or listen and feel the meditative moods of the more reflective songs. Bill of Minn. you sound too homophobic to even to have really listened to this music so any opinion of yours is moot. Get out of the loo and hear a master at work.
