George Strait's new greatest hits album blew me away with the great selection of all the George tunes that I have been listening to all my life. I love "The Chair" and some of the other classic songs like I Cross My Heart. I wish that "Good Time Charley's" would have made it to number one so it could have been included on this album. I have read that some people did not like the "shortening" of the songs but I did not notice anything like that. All the great strait sound was still in every track.

George Strait gives his fans an early Christmas gift with this fabulous collection of his best and a glimpse of what's surely yet to come. From his early years to his latest, they're all here. A must-have for Strait fans, fans of true country, and those who should listen to what real Country and Western is (and it ain't the bubble gum crossover-wannabe pablum that permeates so much of the C&W scene today). This CD set is a wonderful purchase. One time I was asked what my favorite George Strait song was and I quickly said "Amarillo by Morning!" That person then said to me, "What about 'The Fireman' or 'Blue Clear Sky'?" I was like "Oh yeah!" This two-CD set puts all those George Strait favorites together! Kind of gives you a little "mini George Strait concert!" This is a definite must buy for yourself and with the holidays coming up, for ANYONE on your Christmas list!Free Music Review: It's George!

Truly you can't really say anything wrong about this album. It is a collection of 50 numbers ones and honestly this is the kind of album I like to purchase, because it is definitely going to have the ones that everyone has heard on the radio and probably already knows that words too. It was really great because I didn't always listen to Country and to be able to hear some of the early things are good way to get to know the artist. This is a great CD (For a bargain price), and if you like country music AT ALL you should have it in your collection. I do not think it is as good as "Strait Out Of The Box", but I NEVER tire of George, and I can listen to him everyday. His new single "I Hate Everything" is top flight George, and is worth the price of the CD alone.
George Strait is simply the greatest country singer EVER, and as a Strait completist, I cannot stress how good this CD is
