Free Music Review: Schizophonic - better than the SpiceWorld

One of the top record stores here in Manila, Phil.,had a big Schizophonic album promotion - occupying one whole corner, actually. I planned not to buy the album until her 3rd single is out. Geri is always been my favourite. My liking with the Spice Girls started and ended with her. But maybe, I was afraid of dissapointment. Surprisingly, lots of young men filled up the listening stations for Geri's CD and I have to wait for my turn. When I scanned the tracks, I was so surprised with its diversity and never hesitated to buy it. It's one album I played over and over again since Madonna's "Like a Prayer(with no forwarding, lots of rewinding)". It's even better than the SPiceworld album, and if I could have it my way, I would release every tracks as singles. How about that? I noticed that there was some tracks that was highlighted, I wonder if they were the ones meant to be released. If it is, I wish Geri and EMI would release "Let me love you" instead of "You're in a bubble",- I think the former has a better impact than the latter. Anyway, MTVASIA gave Schizo 3 stars and predicted every single releases as chart-toppers. I think everyone was pleasently surprised when they riped opened their new Schizo-phonic cd on June 12th! Atleast I know I was! I think that I am truly the biggest Geri Halliwell fan alive, and I was expecting a few good songs, but they are all wonderful! LOOK AT ME: a nice track..i'm not really crazy about the middle part, but overall a bit james bond sounding track! LIFT ME UP: abeautiful song! WALK AWAY: another wonderful song! great meaning, listen to the words...it is about her struggle to go on after leaving the spice girls! MI CHICO LATINO: i love this song! the latin beat is really strong and just a great song to listen to over and over! GOODNIGHT KISS: This is my favorite song on the album! very frank sinatra-ish! BAG IT UP: a fabolous song! can't go wrong here! SOMETIMES: very night and day, i like it, i'm not posisitive why, but i just love it! LET ME LOVE YOU: this is is so awesome! i love the beat and it is just about having a control issue! SOMEONE'S WATCHING OVER ME: sucha beautiful song about geri's father! really sad! YOU'RE IN A BUBBLE: an intresting song...I hope you enjoyed this album as much as I did....I can't wait to see what is next from Geri! You know she's always got something up her sleve!

When I first got this cd a year ago I only liked two songs, now I love all of them. I have been listening to it all day. Half songs sinnful(S) other Angelic.(A) Here is a quick glance at what I thought of the songs. 1)Look at ME(S)- this is why I bought this CD it is up beat and great! 2)Lift me up(A)- A good lift me up song calming music- good for relaxing 3)Walkaway(A)- a great song but it gets stuck in your head...... 4)Mi Chico Latino(S)- I love Spanish music so of course this I loved this it is half Spanish half English. 5) Goodnight Kiss(S)-I love this song too, but after she says Good Night kiss she makes a kissing noise and gets really annoying 6)Bag It up(S)-Fast paced and EXCELLENT dancing song-sinful 7)Sometime(A)- it starts out like in Church and nice then it gets like Hellish-literally 8)Let Me Love you(A)-starts out with like wierd Japanese chanting then gets 60's but lirics are 00's 9)Someone's watching over me(A)-first time I heard this I got really scared cuz I thought I was hearing voices...not the best song but still reallly really good! 10)You're in a bubble(S)-Good for doing really strange dancing to to be stupid really awsome!Free Music Review: I just bought this CD yesterday, and...

I LOVE IT! Of course, I was weary at first, but "Look At Me" has such a unique sound that I figured that there would be at least 2 or 3 good ones within these 10 tracks. Boy, was I wrong. EVERY SONG is excellent. Very non-Spice Girls (with the slight exception of "Bag it Up"). Within the album, Geri has a very unique sound, sort of if Cher (80's Cher, not "Believe" Cher), Paula Abdul, Sarah McLachlan, Madonna, and George Michael had a baby, it would be Geri Halliwell. Standout songs are "Look At Me," "Walkaway," "Mi Chico Latino," "Let Me Love You," "Lift Me Up," and "Goodnight Kiss." Not that the other four songs are bad, mind you, but the six standout songs are the ones that stick in your head for hours after you listen to them. I first popped the CD into my player last night at about ten, and ended up listening to the entire thing twice before going to bed. It's that good! Buy this CD if you are a fan of any kind of pop music because it is all represented here. You won't be disappointed, trust me.
