Free Music Review: One of Edelman's best

Randy Edelman continues to impress me because he can always write a great theme. This is one of the best themes i've heard of all time. Scored for synthesizers and strings, this is a very noble theme, with an acoustic guitar solo in some parts. The best cue without a doubt is "Reunion and Finale" which contains some of the best music i've ever heard. It contains the best moments of the score and makes them even better. Every track on the soundtrack is excellent, but some that really stand out besides "Main Title" and "Reunion and Finale" are "Men of Honor", "Battle of Little Round Top", "The First Battle", "Over the Fence", "Charging Up the Hill", "Battle at Devil's Den", "Killer Angel", and "March to Mortality". In addition to Edelman's original score, there are 2 traditional music cues that Edelman arranged for the score: "Dixie" and "Kathleen Mavourneen". The fighting cues on the score, contain pulsating drumpads, along with powerful string lines. Edelman can do wonderful things with his synthesizers and his orchestra when he really puts his mind to it. A score that will never get tiring, Gettysburg is a treat from start to finish.
