Free Music Notes for Cantos de AmorFree Music Review: Terrific CD Hit: 5 StarsI bought this for a friend because I think it's one of the best the Gipsy Kings have made.
Free Music Review: An Excellent Sampler Hit: 4 StarsThe Gipsy Kings, who sing mostly in Spanish and apparently live and record in France -- go figure --, are incredibly prolific. Unless one is insatiable for lots of flamenco guitar and gypsy music, the collections, either this one or best of or both, will probably suffice. The disc includes a couple instrumentals and, as the title suggests, all the songs are of love, frequently the leaving kind of love (both leaver -- No Volvere -- and left -- Tu Quieres Volver). My single favorite is the lilting Caminando Por la Calle, love at first beat and some wonderful la-la vocalizing. Other picks: Mi Corazon, Hable Me, Mujer. Some will be interested to know that My Way (A Mi Manera) is better in Spanish, but not by much. Overall, very enjoyable music.
Free Music Review: GREAT Hit: 5 StarsTHERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THE KINGS ARE THE KINGS O FLAMENCO.
Free Music Review: Gipsy kings are the BEST Hit: 5 StarsAll the Gipsy kings albums are great, this one being my favorite. The gipsy kings have a sound like no other. They always relax me and make me feel better. This album is so sensual and romantic. I give this album 5 stars++++++++.
Free Music Review: =Hurts So Good= Hit: 5 StarsThis is a fantastic compilation of some of The Gipsy King's most romantic songs. I am not one that by rule likes greatest hits, but in this case, I do. In my opinion, one would have to search far and wide to find music with more passion and emotion. This is from el corazon-the heart. The guitars speak volumes while Nicolas Reyes' one of a kind voice carries us through all the beauty and suffering that has encompassed Flamenco for generations. With this, a suggestion: Grab your lover and some vino, put this CD on and see what develops...I bet it'll be hotter than The Costa Del Sol!My favorites are: "Un Amor"/"Gitano Soy"/"Love & Liberte"/"Quiero Saber"/"Caminando Por La Calle" (My most cherished of all)/"Trista Pena." Although I am elated to see Latin music gaining popularity, some of todays stars are pale in comparison to The Gipsy Kings...Adios amigos- Que Dios te bendiga.
