I love this CD. I liked the film a lot, too. I wish I was friends with them so I could hang out with them and make them dinner while they play music.

I discovered Glen Hansard when I saw the movie, "Once." The tunes on this CD are exceptional. Hansard's lyrics and emotional rendition are moving and, occasionally, haunting. Irglova's harmony adds a delicate counterpoint to several of the songs. I listened to this CD non-stop for the first couple of weeks I had it, and still find it one of my favorites.Free Music Review: LOVE IT!

I also just saw Once at the Sundance Film Festival. My husband and I are traveling to Ireland and picked the movie just based on it being filmedin Ireland. Little did we know, it wasnt Ireland at all that we would fall in love with. These two artists are absolutely amazing! Best CD I have bought in a long time! Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova are a dynamic duo. This is hauntingly beautiful and energizing music. Definitely see the movie "Once" as well. This CD shares three songs with the soundtrack to the movie and the other pieces are in the same vein. It's genuine, gutsy music with awesome harmonies and real lyrics. The title says it all. This is a refreshing change from the hyped-junk that is currently being shoved out in front of the public by the music companies. Escape the junk, and enjoy this great music. Also check out the movie called "Once", for which this music is the soundtrack, and these musicians are the actors.
