This is one of the 10 greatest CD's that I have ever listened to.The rendition of Alexander Nevsky is fantastic. Full of drama, passion, all without the excess romanticism of other versions. Reiner always stays true to the score.
He does the same with the Lt. Kije. From the opening trumpet solo to the very last note, the Chicago Symphony never faulters.
