I have listened to godsmack sence they came out and, have not stopped sence i think there 2nd was just as good as the frist!Everything about it was great the lyrics, the riffs, bass and drums.i have loved this band and will love this band to then end if there is such a thing for and band like this?(BTW) to all the people who think they know how to judge music peep's like godsmack and others and put them down r nutting but a$$ Unless your can literally get up there and do better and make better riffs solos and play drums as good or better the get up there and do it then email me and i will personly write you and apology but if you cant then dont ever say that they ...Free Music Review: They Beat The Sophmore Jinx

The new album by Godsmack is a must have for anyone, no matter what musical taste they have. It's one of those few records where you don't have to skip tracks all the time to listen to the best songs, because every song on hear is a must listen. I must say, the whole sophmore jinx surrounding this album can be tossed out. They beat it cold, and look what came out, a fantastic album. It's tough to list what songs are better then others, but so far, "Awake," "Sick Of Life," "Greed," and "Vampires" rank as some of the best tracks on the album. All in all, this album should be apart of everyone's collection, metal fan or not. It's that good.Free Music Review: a solid cd

Godsmack is truly a great straight forward rock band. no strings attached no BS gimmicks like Korn and limp Bizket. Godsmack is a band that gets you going. people seem to criticize them because they think that every song sounds the same.Not True! the guitar work is excellent(great use of the woa pedal), the bass playing is solid, the drumming suits the material perfectly(listen to "Mistakes"), and of course Sully, hands down, one of the best voices in all of rock. If you are getting into Godsmack, buy the first album first. Then experience Awake!! Every song on this cd is great, especially Spiral, and bad magick.Free Music Review: Great stuff!!

Godsmack is the best nu metal band out there. I don't get why people call these guys Alice In Chains ripoffs. These guys are much heavier. I suppose some things from the 1st album may hint at a few things AIC, and the closest thing here might be "Goin' Down" but even then it really isn't that close.. The guitar riffs are nice and sludgy but the solos could be better. This is a big improvement from the average first album. This is also much heavier. Best songs are the title track, "Greed", "Sick Of Life" and the spooky, rockin' instrumental "Vampires" (great song to play on Halloween, eh?).Free Music Review: The essence of Hard Rock
