Free Music Review: New Heavy Metal Thunder From the Boys of Boston

Godsmack's new album faceless is a brilliant addition to their already vicious catalog. The first single, "Straight out of Line" is a killer song aimed at friends of the band who just dont get it. This could very possibly be the finest effort yet by the boys from Boston. With songs like "Make Me Believe", "Release the Demons", and "I am", Godsmack shoves a fistful of metal right down your throat as only they can. The final track, "Serenity", lays down a solid groove in fasion with other Godsmack greats like "Vodoo" and "Spiral". Basically this is a great new album, and definetly something that any metal head can be proud to hang their head to. Free Music Review: My Review For...Faceless

As far as i'm concerned, I don't think the band remaining with the same sound is a bad thing. Past experience tells me that 90% percent of the time when a band change their sound, its not that good. I think this album is really great. Coming out in 2003, While not a best seller, still got a lot of praise. The songs on the album are top notch. I really don't think there's a bad song on here. The best song on here is Serenity. A lot of people would disagree and choose I Stand Alone, or Straight Out of Line, but they are not as put together as Serenity. The rest of the songs are good too. So with that said, I recommend you go and pick this up. I know you had to hear a piece of their music somewhere and if you liked that, you will like this album.Free Music Review: nu-metal?

I really don't understand why people catogorize Godsmack as nu-metal. In my opinion, bands like Linkin Park belong in that catagory. This is pure hard rock. Godsmack is very reminiscant of the early 90s grunge but they make that sound a bit heavier. Their name is from an Alice in Chains song which shows you where they got much of their influence. I think the nu-metal tag has been over-used ang tagged on to bands that don't fit in with the rest of that sound. New metal is supposed to be rap/rack but I have never heard rap out of Godsmack or many of the other bands that are described as nu-metal. Well I don't know where I'm going with this review anymore but if you want pure hard rock, then I highly recommend this album. Have fun and play it loud.Free Music Review: best of the best

I have heard every Godsmack song ever since they came out and loved all of em. But once I heard this album on the radio I knew that i had to purchase it. When I got the cd I was shocked at what I heard. It was better than i expected. I was amazed by how the riffs were easy, yet fun to play. It was hard for me to put down my bass after hearing just the first three songs. If you are a godsmack fan or are just getting into rock, i would have to say that this is the album to buy. Godsmack's unique sound is partly what makes this and all of their albums good to listen to. If you listen to the lyrics and everything that is going on in their songs you will find that it kind of creates a transe effect. This album is the way to go!
