Free Music Notes for GodsmackFree Music Review: wow Hit: 5 Stars
whoever has given this album 1 - 3 stars is mad. This album is the most amazing piece of music i have heard for ages. Yeh maybe it sounds like metallica but i love metallica. The songs are all sung brilliantly by the amazing sully erna and the musicians play their instruments beautifully. When i play this album i listen to every minute and second of it. There is not one song i dilike. The best song on the album is whatever and the only one i can't really listen to but still listen to it is someone in london coz its an instrumental. These are now my favourite band ahead of system of a down, my beloved metallica and the brilliant fear factory. Conclusion is anyone who knows what true metal is must buy this now. ...
Free Music Review: Get Away Hit: 5 Stars
This cd is the perfect heavy metal cd. I love the lead singers voice, its so angry and demanding. This is an almost perfect recording, the lyrics are related, but hey, the album is still awesome. I can without-a-doubt say that every song is good, I can listen to this cd 5 times through and never get bored of it. "Someone in London" is an amazing instrumental, which might get nominated for a Grammy if they use it as their next single. This cd will get you pumped up and angry for no reason, but I guarentee you will enjoy it. I would have to say that this is my favorite cd at the moment, and although my music preferences do change, I can honestly say this cd will make you happy.
Free Music Review: Awesome Debut Album! Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, i hope everyone posting reviews of amazon knows that this band's name is NOT taken from Alice in Chains' God Smack song! Sully follows the Wiccan religion, a karma-based religion that he makes references to throughout this band's albums. This unique religion states that if you bring pain to another, whether physical or emotional, it will come back to you three-fold. This probably explains why many of the lyrics heavily express an amazing level of "pissed-offness" and pain. The powerful vocals of Sully backed by Rambola's wicked self-taught guitar mastery and the tribal-based drums make this album, along with the other Godsmack albums, well worthy of a chance.

Godsmack, baby!! *throws up some metal* LMAO The first song I ever heard from Godsmack was "Voodoo" on an Mp3. My initial impression was "Godsmack is cool, man." Then I downloaded "Keep Away" on MP3 and I thought "Godsmack is cool, man." Then I downloaded "Whatever".. well, you get the point. Eventually, I got the CD and I love it! I listened to the whole thing and thought "Godsmack is cool, man." :) Need I say more? My fav songs here are: Moon Baby, Whatever, Keep Away, Time Bomb and Voodoo. Do you like harder music and stuff like that? Get this CD and you'll be thinking "Godsmack is cool, man."
Free Music Review: Aggro-rock is alive and well Hit: 5 Stars
People like to compare Godsmack to Korn, Alice In Chains, and Metallica, but here's the bottom line: Godsmack is louder and more aggressive than all three of them put together, and Sully's voice is menacing and intense - the lyrics are evocative of what's wrong with his life and proves to be more cathartic than any of the other bands. Say what you want, but this band and Sprung Monkey are the best bands around in the late 90's with their intense music and smart lyrics. I highly recommend this album to anyone who is sick of teenie-pop and tough-guy poseur rock like Korn - these guys have what it takes to become as huge as Nirvana.
