This is an awesome collection of the early godsmack material and I would totally recomend this to any old school fan who doesn't own the Cd's or any newcomer to the band. plus the DVD is worth the money by itself. So, first off, this band annoyed me from day one. They aped Alice In Chains in every way possible, right down to their name and their logo. I saw them in concert a few years back, and they were even worse. I've never seen a frontman spend so much time slinging dumb rock-talk cliches at a crowd in my life! they were on stage for forty five minutes and I think they played five songs. the rest was yack yack yack.
Now, for the most part, I've ignored Godsmack because, like Linkin Park and all the other Big Radio Rock these days, all their songs sound the same.
Well, a buddy of mine who actually likes these guys told me they had a new song that's totally different from anything else they've done. Turns out it's this Led Zep cover they did... and named their "best of" after it.
Can these guys think of nothing for themselves???
