Free Music Review: A Little Different

This is either the writing on the wall or just an experimentation cd. At first it seemed as though these guys were going to put out canned cds. You know - all the songs seem the same, safe in the style.
Then they did this. There were still some hard knockers in there, but even they were a little different - more individual instrumental effort. The vocals are as they ever were.
The slower ballad style songs were the biggest change however. A little different cd for them. A definate change that makes me curious what their next will be like. Sort of the roller coaster that Saliva had with cd's 2 & 3.

Well, they've done it again! I was sceptical that this album would be able to be as good as Faceless. But, as usual, Sully and the guys proved me wrong, making an album that only gets better the more and more I listen to it. The deal was sealed once I saw them live! The lyrics are more pure, the songs with the right amount of kick, not much but not too little, and they even have what could be considered a ballad and it even rocks, in Hollow, which also happens to be one of the best songs on the CD. Sully's vocals are pure, Tony's guitars along with Robbie's bass kick, and of course Shannon's solid drumming make this album one of the years best! Shannon's skills behind the skins are some of the best I've seen, since Neil Peart, and then when you combine his with Sully's, HOLY SHNIKES!!!! Good Job Guys, Keep Um Coming!!!!Free Music Review: Album should be called "I", for best album yet.

i've been a godsmack fan since their first release "whatever". this album definitely has a different sound, maybe with the guitars and drums, but it's still quality hard-rock godsmack style music. This is one of few rock cd's i can listen to from track 1 to track 11(or 12 if u count the hidden song entitled "Safe and Sound", which can be found 11 minutes into "one rainy day")Sully's one of a kind voice can be heard on every song especially "shine down" and "the enemy". if you've been a godsmack fan since day one, this album might dissapoint u at first but you'll eventually grow into it and eventually you will love it. if you're just getting into godsmack then it will be like any other rock album you buy for one or two radio songs. I'll admit, I have a love of Godsmack but this ablum rocks ... Sully and the boys do a great job. Speak, No Rest for the Wicked, Shine Down ... all great tracks. If you like Godsmack, you'll love this!
