Free Music Review: A very very good surprise find on my part!!!

I just had the fortune to see these guys live at Tulsa, OK's Dfest. I was surprised to see how truly awesome they are. The day before I picked up this CD, because I figured well I'm going to see them at this festival so I should see what to expect. Man, was I surprised! From the first track to the last the album is solid. All that day I played in my car and at home. And Since I saw them on Friday night I have continued to listen to the album. I loved how at first the reminded me of Flogging Molly, but they have that sound I was wanting, the european, gyspy type. I mean listening to it on my way to the show downtown, as I past by the downtown building and apartments that have long been there I got the fill of being in Europe. Yeah I know that's hard to believe being in Oklahoma, but that's how the music made me feel.
As for the show purely amazing stuff. Such energy and excitement. They said they were maybe returning in October and you better believe I will be there. Also looked up stuff about this band opened my eyes too. For example I didn't know the lead singer was in the movie that Madonna directed and they're music and Eugene (the singer) was in the Elijah Wood film Everything is Illuminated. I've been wanting to see that movie now I have a even more reason to see it.

Gogol Bordello has done it again, and this time, even better. I am always scared that musicians would try so hard to outdo their initial cds that they would produce mediocre stuff. But Super Taranta is even more enjoyable that Gypsy Punk. And trust me, I love all the tracks on the Gypsy Punk cd. Not to miss on Super Taranta: Alcohol. Think of this for a while: if they are this energetic on their cd, then what would the atmosphere be like when they are performing live? Well, I thought of this, and decided to find out. So I am going to watch them perform live, in two weeks, and I cannot wait.
In an interview, frontman Eugene Hutz was saying how some people say he must do drugs to produce such music. But he admits that it is just plain adrenaline, and the occassional alcohol. I really admire him for clearing that up. I am like these guys, with a lot of adrenaline and a lot of energy. Which may be why I like their music so much. Enjoy. No kidding.

In this day of musical mediocrity, Gogol Bordello provides the energy and excitement I've been holding out for for a few years now. It's the kind of thing that when you're listening, you can't help but move to the beat.
My sister was the one who turned me on to them and then as a gift I bought her tickets to a show this past Summer. I was totally hooked after that. If I had to describe them in one word:
INTENSE!!!
Buy this CD if you're looking for an amazing, energetic, communal type experience. They are inexplicably awesome!!! You just have to see for yourself.

If you haven't seen Gogol Bordello live, you are missing out on one of life's fundamental experiences. If you have been to one of their shows, then you don't need this review to tell you that this CD is a must-have. Either way, if there is any gypsy in your soul (and who among us doesn't have at least a little?); then this music will do for you what Jimmy Buffett does for people that love the beach, and what Springsteen does for people from Jersey.Free Music Review: Pure Genius...
