Free Music Review: The first and not the last from the band that just ROCKS!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Ok, so I just got The Young and The Hopeless two days ago ...and it just blew me away! Then I got this cd a few hours ago and am listening to it right now and I'm just an even bigger fan of theirs every time I listen to them....Here's the rundown...

Little Things- A nice tune, a every nice tune actually. Great way to start off this album...very nice!

Walddrfworld Wide- Wow, a very great song with awesome lyrics...it's nice!

The Motivation Proclamation- I think that every teenager at one point in their lives or another will relate to this song.

East Coast Anthem- This is a song that really speaks about teenagers back in the East Coast (like the name) And I like that the boys do a very nice job on this song.

Festival Song- They just keep getting better and better with every song..I'll tell ya that much. This song goes perfectly with East Coast Anthem.

Complicated- Another song about Benji and Joel's dad....very moving and something I personally look up to them for...

Seasons- A Strong ballad..Not really moving the first time you hear it but it grows on you.

I Don't Wanna Stop- Kinda hard to follow but personally I think it's growing on me.

I Heard That- GREAT fast song and...well...just GREAT!

Click- Could never find it

Walk By- Another great fast song...very moving and very upbeat.

Let Me Go- One of the best new songs I've heard in a while.

Screamer- Always nice to hear and very moving.

Change- Nice but long but still very nice.

Thank You Mom (Hidden Track)- Ver nice and moving...secertly a great way to end an album...a thank you to your mother...great!

Just like their new cd...GC gives you fresh punk rock music to jam to that you'll just wanna listen to again and again for hours and hours...It is worth your money....no lie!

Free Music Review: GOOD CHARLOTTE JUST BLEW ME AWAY!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Let me start off by saying that I hadn't heard of these guys until I saw Benji and Joel on the All Things Rock Countdown that plays on MTV. At first I thought they would be just plane hard rock(I judged by some of the clothing) but I thought totally wrong! When I first heard their single "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous" is when I first started to fall in love with this band! So I went out and bought their sophomore album "The Young and the Hopeless" and after listening to that C.D. which I would also give 5 stars!! I went and bought their debt/self-titled C.D. They are both incredible. I can relate to almost every song on both C.D.'s these guys know how to connect with teenagers especially. When I start driving I am never gonna take this C.D. out unless I am changing it to put their other C.D. in so in otherwords Good Charlotte will NOT be leaving my C.D player anytime soon!!! They are just amazing! I wasn't into the kind of music they play (I'm not sure how you would categorize it) but this is one band I can listen to and just love every song! They can go from fun songs to emotional songs that you can relate to! My personal favorite out of both C.D.'s is "Emotionless" which is written about Benji and Joel's father who left them. They have several songs about their father actually. My other favorites would have to be... "Change", "Thank You, Mom", "Little Things"...and there are many more. I can't really say I have other favorites because I love all the songs the same with the exception of "Emotionless". I can't say my review will help you check these guys out but I read other peoples reviews and man did they help me out!! So please just give them a try...I did!!! BUY BOTH C.D.'S NOW!!!

Free Music Review: Aware of their audience
Hit: 5 Stars

For Christmas, my niece wanted a Good Charlottte CD. While I was wrapping it, I looked at them and thought, "What kind of cruddy music is she listening to?" (Don't get me wrong, I love Rock/Punk/Altenative kinds of music, I am just weary of what my nieces and nephews listen to.) Well, like the saying says, don't judge a book by its cover. Sammi played one of her Charlotte CDs in the car while I was taking her and her sister shopping...WOW! Not only is the music GREAT, but it is clean.
Let me explain what I mean. When Britney and Christina became popular, they knew, or had some idea, of who their audience was; little girls (4-12) for the most part. Yet knowing this, they continued to make videos and sing songs that had a lot to do with sex, and I won't even go into how they dressed! YUCK!
Anyway, GC seems to be more aware of their audience. They don't sing about inappropriate things, and the one cuss word they use, D**K,(ONE time in the entire album!) is a reference to their loser dad that left their family on Christmas.(Poor guys) Bands like Charlotte are few and far between. They may look like 'Punks' but they sure don't act like it, they are actually pretty good 'Kids', as they would say. GC is one of the few bands I would love to buy every album they made, or will make, for my nieces and nephews. They are VERY talented and dedicated. Their songs are GREAT, and they don't need to cuss every other word just to fill up the lyrics and make the songs longer. My niece is in LOVE with them, and everyone else with pink hair and piercings for that matter, but I ALSO think they are GREAT. This album is one of my favorite CDs, I can't wait to go buy another!!

Free Music Review: GOOD CHARLOTTE ROCKS!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is their first album, and it's pretty good. It's probably good if you (like me) feel like you don't fit in and everything. I am a Good Charlotte fanatic, and I think this is one of their best CDs (Well, I can't really say that since this is the only CD of them I have)...

//Little Things: A song I can totally relate to. 9.5/10
//Waldorf Worldwide: I don't get the title of this song. But I like it. 8/10
//The Motivation Proclamation: I like this song! 9/10
//East Coast Anthem: This song is great, the only thing I thought was weird with it was the beginning, where it feels like I'm almost deaf...anyway, 10/10
//Festival Song: This song has nothing to do with a festival of any sort...7.5/10
//Complicated: A sad song about their dad walking away from them...I like their "rap" part...9.9/10
//Seasons: Everytime I hear this, I wanna cry. 9/10
//I Don't Wanna Stop: ....7/10
//I Heard You: It's about I think his girlfriend or something...8.5/10
//The Click: AWESOME SONG!!! 10000000/10
//Walk By: Hm...7/10
//Let Me Go: Not really that good...not really that bad...6.5/10 Not one of my favorites.
//Screamer: I love this song. 100000/10
//Change: Like this song. 9/10
***HIDDEN TRACK: Thank You Mom: Lots of dedication here...makes me feel guilty when I've done something wrong and then I listen to his....10000/10

I got this as a B-Day gift...it rocks!!! Go get yourself a copy (and get me a copy of their other CDs as well! :-P)

Free Music Review: Punkers young at heart
Hit: 5 Stars

Good Charlotte's self-titled album cannot be summed up in one word in my opinion. While it does contain an almost repetitive collection of immature emotional songs, it is still very appealing. Now, when I say immature, I do not mean the writing itself is immature...simply the topics of the band are immature. The writing itself is as good as any of your favorite "emo" or "pop punk" groups, but the content itself can be summed up by something they proclaim at the beginning of the album: "This is dedicated to all the kids that got picked last in gym class." The way I see it, it takes the darker, childish appeal that a group like Staind got famous from, and re-centered it on the less complex issues of childhood and the less complex style of punk rock.

I think this is a great album, but I must admit that I play it for its sound a lot more then I do for its message. The sound is great and inspires as much air-guitar as any other great punk CD does for me, but honestly the topic of unpopularity gets old. This album is for you if you love pop-punk, because Good Charlotte brings a great new sound to this genre that you will appreciate, but if you are looking for a deeper message with the same sound, then I'd have to agree with some other reviewers and recommend older punk groups. With all the bands emerging these days it is difficult to find something truly worthy of a standing ovation, but Good Charlotte will please your punk-loving ears if you decide to pick it up.
